Looking for informed opinions on using a 13" MBP in a "desktop" configuration with an external monitor (20" Dell) and Apple wireless keyboard/mouse.

Also any feedback on a vertical stand for the MBP to save desk space would be appreciated.

Thanks Alot,
Doug

i have real issues sometimes with wifi and an external monitor using the mini dp-> hdmi adaptor.

It has something to do with airport waking up from sleep

It is a good combo. I simply use a few text books to prop it up so I can use both monitors at the same time. Great for doing research.

i use a dell monitor connected to my aluminum macbook with a wired mighty mouse and keyboard and an external hard drive. it's nice, it gives my laptop a desktop feel.

I'm running a new 13" mpb with a 27" monitor and the apple bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Everything runs great really happy with my setup. The only con I can say is that the apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse are a little overpriced

I have a new macbook pro 15 inch sitting on an Mstand, bluetooth mouse and keyboard on a 30 inch dell.

The only problem i have is sometimes going from sleep back to using the external display. It's hit or miss. Sometimes it pops back on, other times it doesn't. Pretty frustrating.

Also get some weirdness that other people have experienced with the dual link dvi, a quick unplug and plug back in fixs though.

If you use dvi - dvi the waking up is perfection. I used to have it DVI-HDMI and I would have to turn off the monitor just to wake it up. DVI-DVI works now but IDK why lol

my MBP is on the griffin elevator (got it as a gift, prob would have picked up the mstand myself). i have a new 24" ACD hooked up to it, and a logitech dinovo edge and mx revolution plugged into the ACD. i love the USB hub and magsafe adapter on this display... makes it so easy to throw my laptop onto the desk and have it all set up.

i just plug in the power, usb, and miniDP all from the same cable into three ports almost next to each other on the MBP and my monitor, external keyboard/mouse, power, even speakers if i'm not using my klipsch set are functional.

so yeah, all of the above are highly recommended :)
