Maybe people can take a break from stressing over the 2013 MacPro Release?

Thanks Tesselator for taking our minds off of stressing over the New Mac Pro.

It worked for the duration of the video but now I am stressing over that darn new Mac Pro again.

    Hehehehe...

So what's a video or overview of a MP setup you liked (past, present, or futuristic)?

I'm watching this compilation of setups at the moment...

my office unit is a large converted tv stand with a drafting chair. In the studio the monitor is on a high roller stand and can raise up to 10 feet and also swivels back and forth. I have a laptop stand that connects to a pelican case. All on wheels, sit/stand, hand built / converted

    ScottishCaptain,
Killer Einey poster! And whoa, awesome chair!

    d-m-a-x,
    Coolness! MacPro on wheels! :)

I saw this setup the other day and mused over it for awhile:

I could kinda get some kicks from transferring my MacPro into a Halliburton ZERO. :D

I think his room cost more than my house lol :D

Love the coffee table idea. I may try that, just need a piece of glass.

I love this chair. There is another member who posted this in the Mac Setups thread with an orange one.

    The glass of course...

I dunno about the USA but NICE glass-top tables in the used shops in Japan are about $25

I'll post a pic after I update my monitors. Currently I've got 30" cinema surrounded by unmatched Samsung 23".

Here are some thoughts about other user's posts:
    1. Why have your computer on top of a desk or table? It takes up desk space, is louder and more susceptible to a fall.
    2. Some of you boys need true ergonomic make-over...a 5-legged rolling task chair with lumbar support is a must.
    3. Glass desks/tables are harsh and uncomfortable. IMO.

    Just sayin'.

This is where you post your favorites - and not bash on other people's favorites - guess what??? not everyone wants the same thing - which is why we can agree on being Mac Pro fans, which allows us to configure to what suits each one of us

    Why not?

Mine is far enough behind me and angled away from the operator position that noise isn't an issue. It's a pretty machine and nice to look at, plus having it on the desk means increased ease of servicing, for which I like to clean my machine out monthly with compressed air (don't have to unhook anything to do that).

I've found that the machine is audible humming-wise if it's on the floor or not. When the GPU fan kicks in (playing DE:HR, Borderlands 2, or SC2)- the thing is noisy irregardless of where it is. I've got two cats (one of which is visible in the last picture), so having the machine on the floor just means it's going to suck up cat hair.

TLDR; I value my machine too much to put it on the floor, both aesthetically and financially.
