They've shown their hand twice now, they're holding back the best color for a spring refresh sales boost.

I think I'll actually wait until mid cycle, pay off the rest of the blue iPhone 13 Pro, and get the awesome color they release in spring on trade-in for about $50 less than I'd get on trade in if I did it now.

That'll give me time to see how this whole Fantasy Island in No SIM World works out.

Might not wait that long but am also waiting to pay off 13PM installments. Then I can also see black vs purple in person.

Actually I've learned to just not take meaningless garbage pics all the time, things that I never ever look back on or use. Like stupid selfies and food pics. I don't upload any of my iphone pics or videos to my instagram or youtube anymore. My point is I use the camera and do need it, but don't need another mediocre iphone camera, I couldn't two shats if it was 4k 8k 42 megapixel because in the end they are all mediocre at best, nor professional after using a full frame camera. Don't get me wrong they are probably amazing for anybody who doesn't have a dedicated camera/one's only camera, I'm just talking about my personal use case.

I wish they would add a popup to delete a SS after you share it. But if they made it too easy, they couldn't get iCloud $$$

This was half the thread for the Brazil missing charger one. Not everyone has a huge cache of cables and chargers like I do. I actually understand everyone's case is different, and some people are getting their first smartphone with zero cables or chargers already

He is, actually. His point is specifically related to the contiguous usable space as it relates to watching a movie in landscape on an iPhone screen -- which is why I posted that I doubt anyone could actually tell the difference in that scenario.

(Honestly, I used to think that I was the only one who actually did that with any significant frequency; I'm so incredibly nearsighted that shoving my glasses in my pocket and putting my iPhone four to six inches from my face gives me a perfect big-screen TV. 🤓)

The dynamic island looks awful and is a downgrade from the notch, which I already hated. When they showed full screen video I cringed so much, it’s so distracting I would personally consider it unusable for consuming 21:9 video.

I respect your opinion, but I think you are crazy, just a pill would have been just as bad as the notch but the software features that make it feel intentional are the very reason apple products are better

Wow, is that right? Most iPhone users watch videos in portrait mode? That's certainly not the case for me. I use portrait mode to skim through looking for videos to watch, but once I am actually watching a video clip, I turn it to landscape mode. Why watch in portrait? So tiny.

Yup, that's right. I'm suppressed by that too. However, my friend works in huge org that has loads of user data, and you wouldn't believe at the percentage the portrait is winning. I myself always use landscape, but I guess average Joe doesn't care.

I watch in landscape- video shows movement which is commonly horizontal. Strongly agree with msackey! Seems they eliminated that function on my iPhone 7+. Looking for new phone - hopefully it has landscape viewing!
