Which game would you say was the best?

The best game I played last year was Far Cry 3, but I realize this was a 2012 release!

The best 2013 release I have played was probably Bioshock Infinite.

BUT, I have not played The Last Of Us yet, so my vote may change in a few months!

a better place
Miy 2013 best of list.....

Based on enjoyment and games that kept me playing...

PS3 - The Last of US

Wii U - Super Mario World 3D / RAYMAN : Legends

PS4 - Skylanders Swap Force
(and Wii U / 3DS)

3DS - Zelda : Link Between Worlds

Very close runners up.....

PS3 - Tomb Raider, GTA V, Puppeteer
Wii U - Lego Batman 2 DC Universe, Disney Infinity
PS4 - Lego Marvel Heroes
3DS - Animal Crossing : New Leaf, Pokemon X/Y
PC/Mac - Bioshock Infinite

And if I had to just take 1 game from all those - you all know which it would be...
The one that has cost a small fortune and brought me hours of enjoyment..... Skylanders : Swap Force

Bioshock Infinite is the only 2013 game I bought in 2013.

A good game overall. I feel the story is overated and is no where near the depth of the original Bioshocks. Gun play isn't as good either IMO and the vigors, to me, felt out of place. Probably one of the pretiest games I own and the sound effects are awesome.

Haven't started playing it until late but the last of us is definitely up there.

Honorable mention also goes to arkham origins and Bioshock infinite.

Grand theft auto 5 is better than previous versions but just doesn't capture me enough to sit down and finish it. It just isn't as good as it's made out to be.

And another great one is splinter cell blacklist, it's just HARD AS ****!

2013 had to be one of the best years for me as a gamer.

It's a toss up between The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite and Grand Theft Auto 5.

I think The Last of Us had the biggest impact on me, but Bioshock was just a joy to play and GTAV was just a monster game.

Here's my top 10. I was surprised at the ratio of indies to AAA titles, but 2013 was a great year for indie games, and I acquired nearly 100 games from Steam sales/Humble bundles, etc in the last year. Anyway, here we go.

1. Kentucky Route Zero (cheating a bit, as it's not all out yet and will likely top my 2014 list also)
2. The Stanley Parable
3. Bioshock Infinite
4. The Last of Us
5. Papers, Please
6. The Wolf Among Us (see entry 1)
7. Grand Theft Auto V
8. Don't Starve
9. XCOM: Enemy Within (technically a DLC but it adds so much to the main game that I'll allow it)
10. Beyond: Two Souls

GTA V on xbox360 and Assassins Creed: Black Flag on PC. Lots of stuff to do and a nice mix of AC typical stealth, piracy and other things.

Bioshock ws utterly disappointing with a gameplay so linear that it was almost insulting. And the world seemed incredibly dead, no matter how much I like the steampunk theme.
