oh, I agree, the timestamp looks fishy. Did they build a Server 2003 box with from an RC disc? Maybe (doubt it). We always have a few servers running beta/RC before release (obviously they don't go into production). I've known guys running server 2008 beta 2 since 2006.
So, "official release dates" aren't always, well, official. And unless a server needs a hotfix or critical patch, they don't get rebooted. Server 2003 boxes can have a long uptime if critical patches don't require a reboot. Granted, they're not as stout as a UNIX box but that's another thread.
