-Bluetooth. The bluetooth only being compatible with headsets i just stupid. I want bluetooth so i can sync wirelessly, but especially to send and receive files.
This basicly the reason why i didn't buy the iphone.

you cant and receive files?
even pictures and music?

Noo, nothing.
you can only use BT to connect to those hands free head sets.
Don't really get why, almost everybody wants this, and this mades me not to buy an iphone..

It is slow loading basic things such as contacts and also navigating menus like 'settings'.

It interferes with my computer speakers, my clock/radio, and my car speakers.

No MMS
Crappy speaker phone (but better than the original)
Laggy interface
No keyboard force feedback

Minor annoyances.

No mms
I didn't think this would be an issue for me but it is so absolutely annoying when someone sends me an mms and I have to go to that stupid website...then have to write the id and password down.....aaarrrgggg!!

These:
- Mail doesn't download my Gmail emails while in 3G
- The poor battery life
- Innacurate GPS, the blue dot always jumps and is off the streets
- Slow response to normal requests: iPod, mail, home, contacts, etc...
- lack of todo/tasks
- lack of notes sync
- lack of copy/paste
- Can't edit a contact when seeing its details from the recent/missed calls log
- plastic case cracks

Contacts is laggy
No MMS :(
Frequent dropped calls (could be my service area, but never happened with my Blackberry...)
Limited battery with moderate usage
VERY limited text message tones - this became a problem when 2 of my friends and both my parents got iPhones. When we're all in the same place it's a nightmare to figure out who got the email/text.
No 3G iTunes store

But I still love this phone.

You really don't get why? I do. It sucks, but I completely understand why they crippled the BT functions on a device that holds music and videos and so on. Even if they made it so that we couldn't transfer DRM-protected files (as if that weren't easy enough to get around), that still leaves it possible to transfer all kinds of files that plenty of people would have cause to claim Apple is violating agreements with them.

I agree that it sucks, and I wish it were different, but I get it.

Battery?

The battery on the iphone 3g is my only negative for this phone. The battery doesn't even last a day without a charge..It's like walking your nan up a hill and having to wait for her to rest half way!

It being locked and me being in South Korea waiting for an unlock so I can use it without costing $3/minute.

sound randomly turning off
no mms
crashes
speaker volume not loud enough
coverflow- why is only sorted by artist?
email messages that only say "This message has not been downloaded from the server". WTF, why show the email if it hasn't been downloaded?

All of that plus:
Lag problem still there.

Deleting of single text messages rather than conversations. (sometimes I only want to keep the rude one! ;-)
Forward of text message.
Poor signal reception compared to blackberry. (not even 3g i know)

  1. No profiles for email, sms, call sounds, etc
  2. No day view in calendar
  3. No cut & paste
  4. Having to swipe the damn unlocky thing to see if I have any emails, calls, etc
  5. ics attachments don't add meetings to calendar (they do in iCal desktop)
  6. Desktop notes and tasks are not synced
  7. Can't store documents on phone for later attaching to outgoing emails
  8. Can only email one photo at a time
  9. Bluetooth on/off is buried in the settings. Everytime I get in the car have to turn it on (or waste my battery by leaving it on)
  10. No replaceable battery. If / when I need a replacement, I'm without a phone for a week.
  11. The stupid chime everytime you plug in the power (even when it's on silent).
  12. No way to have seperate signatures for different mail accounts
  13. No way to use .Mac aliases
  14. No centralized inbox
  15. The amount of crap on the app store (not strictly iphone)

Actually agree with most of that. Thing that really bugs me is the inability to use ringtones for email/SMS notification. That and the micro second which it vibrates.

More things

- Typing in landscape mode isn't functional, the fields boxes are always hidden
- I can't lock the screen mode so it always switch from portrait to landscape when I'm laying down on my bed, couch or on the floor. I wish this could be quickly locked by the user.
- All the apps that connect to the web need to reload their content:
1- In Safari: when switching from one window to another even there was a wepage loaded it needs to reload it.
2- App Store
3- Emails
4- Weather
5- etc...
- I can't play many games while laying down because they depend on the accelerometers, and they can't be recalibrated for that different position
- When writing something on the web or Mail, if the keyboard lag happens, if I made a mistake and I hit backspace a couple of times it erases more things than what I wanted

1. iCal colors don't sync seems like this should "just work" since Apple makes the software and hardware. I've read online that they will match if you use MobilMe but not iTunes. Funny, again, Apple makes both...
2. Mail doesn't sync This might be my fault; maybe I set something up wrong, but when I sync iPhone with my mbp I would expect that messages I've deleted on one would be deleted on the other, read on one would be marked as read on the other. Shouldn't syncing result in a mirror image between the two devices? I really need to be able to read my email anywhere, so my fix has been to just never open mail on my Mac if I can help it, because it's so annoying having to manually delete/mark as read messages I've already dealt with. Again, I use Apple's included Mail app, and Apple's phone, so shouldn't the two just work?

My five:

1. No A2DP. We can use bluetooth headsets for calls, why can't we use bluetooth headphones for music?
2. GPS seems to take a long time to get a lock-- sometimes it just 'stops' once it crosshairs in on me being somewhere in the entire city of Austin. It'd be nice if there was more feedback on how good the GPS signal is (how many satellites it's connected to, etc). This information unfortunately doesn't appear to be exposed in the Core Location API when I checked for it.
3. Toggles for battery-draining features (3G, Location Services, wireless, Bluetooth, brightness) could be easier to get to.
4. Hierarchical menus on the front screen would be nice... it's annoying to have to page over several times (or use the tiny dots) to get some organization.
5. More things need to support rotation, particularly so that I can use the keyboard in landscape mode (SMS and Notes, notably.)

No, i know why they did that, so we couldn't share music, more specifically the ones bought on itunes store, so they didn't loose money, and other files protected by copyright, i understand the reason too, but every other phone have BT file transfer and they don't have that much problems i guess. I think they should just give the BT all the functions, because people paid( a lot for a phone) and should be able to use all the functions, I think that wouldn't reduce the itunes store profit's, other than ringtones, people don't share audio file by BT, it takes too long...if there was a way of sharing only files that aren't protected, like personal files ( photos, text/notes, contacts, sounds, like ringtones, or sync ) it would be a really good improvement, and i probably would get mine right away, im actually waiting for that, but i don't think is going to happen:(
