Ever take a picture of your mac then make that mac picture the wallpaper on that mac that you took the picture of? I'm guilty.

No, but just so you know, the thing that's called the wallpaper on PCs is called the Desktop on Macs.😉

and some people (like my wife) call the desktop / wallpaper a screen saver! 😕

And some people set the screensaver as their wallpaper, using that Quartz hack. 😀

Lalala, this could go on all day. 🙂

Yeah, you could even take a picture of the wall(paper) behind your display and use that as your desktop picture / wallpaper.

wasn't that a thread.....

😀

Or you could grab a web screenshot and make it a desktop and pretend that your desktop is a webpage. And, I'm sure, actually make your desktop a webpage if you so desired (I know you can in Windows!).

Or you could cut out your screen with a sharp knife and just look at the wall through the gap.

Best results on LCDs.

I think I might actually try that on my old Dell sitting in the basement..

Actually it's called "Desktop background", as on Windows. Wallpaper is perfectly fine, though.

And let's not forget printing out your desktop background and making a bunch of copies and pasting them up on the wall as wallpaper!
