Your MB with external monitor setup for calls/meetings?

Long time MB user and have the new 14" Max and love it. What I don't like is not being able to use the mic for calls and on-line group meetings when using an external monitor. I know you can open the MB but that creates other issues with what is displayed at that time.

What do you recommend to make this as seamless of a process as using without an external monitor? What’s your setup for an external mic and camera when needed for voice and Teams/Zoom video calls.
