I have a 10.5" pro, and find it extremely useful for many things, but the OS it runs prevents it from getting close to a laptop in terms of productivity even though it has the size of a laptop (the Files app brings some improvement, but much, much more is needed, I fear).

Most of what I do with it could also be done with an iPad Mini sized device, and that would thus be my size of choice, for sure, if they make one. Otherwise, just keep what I have.

Currently have a 256GB Pro 9.7 LTE and a 512GB Pro 12.9 LTE. Performance-wise, I have absolutely no complaints with either. Now that I've divvied the duties between the two (256GB 9.7 for manga, 512GB 12.9 for American comics), I'm pretty comfortable storage-wise, too. Heck, I even have Game of Thrones seasons 1-7 on the big iPad with plenty of room left for season 8.

My wish list for my next iPad purchase was:
  • 10.5" 2732x2048 326 ppi
  • 512GB - 1TB
  • TouchID

Current rumors suggest I won't be getting my wish so I'll probably stick to my Pro 9.7 a bit longer.

If there is an 11" I will go for that. Otherwise it will be a new 12.9 as long as there is a significant new feature.

I have the original 12.9 iPad Pro, and use it daily, but I find it a bit heavy for my favorite use: reading in bed. If the new iPad Pro reduces the bezel size to yield an 11-inch screen, I'll be seriously tempted - it's over 200 grams lighter.

If they were to keep the 12.9 screen size but eliminate the bezels, thus making the device smaller in size overall, then I could see myself going back up to the 12.9 (I had a first gen 12.9 before getting my 10.5). But I will not be upgrading this year — I will wait at least until next year.

My wife took ownership of the 12.9 so I’ll get one for myself. I’m good with the 10.5 being carried through the day’s activities.

If they increase the size of the 12.9 I might upgrade. This size is too big to operate with your thumbs and requires a bag that can fit a MacBook. They should make an iPad around 14".
