I am a fan of the minimal cases and prefer white on my white Plus. Usually I purchase maybe a dozen cases trying to find the right one for me. Then I usually settle on one and use it all the time. Once I find what I want, I don't switch off and on with the other cases.
This time I started with the Apple silicone case in white as it was available when I got my phone. I was concerned that the silicone especially in white would look like crap in a couple of weeks pulling stains from handling it. But I bought it anyway. Then I went in search of a super thin polycarbonate case in either solid white or frost. I bought the Caudabe Veil which is very thin and frost. This is a very good case and like what I wanted. Then came along the Shumuri with the bottom covered as well. So I ordered a couple of them. The Shumuri quality wasn't great - holes not aligned perfectly. I could have asked for replacements. But with these super thin cases, I found myself being careful every time I put it down due to the camera lens sticking out. Also, even though these types of cases have been my preference over the years, this time with the Plus, I feel the need for more grip.
So I went back to my original - the white Apple Silicone. I really like the white on white. I like that it is so well made that it almost becomes part of the phone. Best of all, I love the feel of the silicone. It is kind of weird - has almost a slimy feel but also gives great grip. I know that makes no sense, but for those that have tried this case, you'll know what I mean. With this case, I totally love the feel in hand. And maybe best of all, after 2 months of use, it still looks brand new.
So glad I found the perfect case for me without purchasing those dozen cases. And I've sent the cases I didn't like on to other MacRumor buds. So not a bag of them sitting around collecting dust.
