More fun to list the oldest phone that you still have in your possession. For me it's the Sprint Motorola Startac. Supposedly only the Sprint version can still be activated as of 9/2018.

Cool! Its also fun to see the graph of phone used for the last 10 or 20 years :)

I've had in excess of 100 phones over the years, way too many to list!

The addiction is real

I remember my very 1st phone though from back in the 90's, it was a Mitsubishi MT-30 flip front phone.

You are not wrong, mobile phone addiction is very real.
[doublepost=1552385774][/doublepost]Shanghachica & Tzeps how did you manage to remember your old phon's model number? Do you keep a note or something?

iPhone 6 Plus (too big, bad battery life)
Motorola Milestone (actually liked it but it broke on me)
Samsung Nexus S (Bad battery life, felt cheap)
HTC One M8 (battery life was not enough)
Samsung Galaxy S4 (Constant OS reboots until I threw it at a wall and destroyed a brand new phone in frustration)
Nokia Lumia 1020 (too fat, too slow, was $1200 if I wanted to keep it)
Huawei Mate 7 (Chinese rubbish quality, too big)

Nokia N series was huge success back then i remember very well.

Here is my Siemens phone from 90's , it was one of the best. Not sure why Siemens was pulled from mobile business, they had a good start.

My 6 plus had anazing battery life. The S7 edge and the 6 plus are the only 2 phones that I've been amazed by the battery life. The others have been good, bad or ok.

My S4 was fine. I came from the original note which was bug and lag central. I didn't have any issues with mine.

It's amazing that we all have different experiences with the same phones.

How did you find Siemens? They were smart phones for their time but suddenly the company dissapeared from mobile business.

How did you find Siemens? They were smart phones for their time but had early death.
I really loved both my Siemens phones! The first one was black with an antenna and a flip cover over the number keys only, the spy look blew me away at the time hehe. It also had an antenna which I'm finding out just today that it probably was fake...! :D The yellow M3i was super futuristic/sleek and water proof as I recall, a trusty GSM weapon that lasted many years. And yeah Siemens just disappeared as phone manufacturers at some point, kind of sad really as they were total kings at the beginning! Which Siemens did you have?

Oh wait, I'm partly confusing Siemens with Motorola here, gotta do some more research lol brb

Anyway the first mobile phone I ever bought was actually for my girlfriend at the time, for her birthday. It was this bright yellow sporty/cute little thing, I think a Motorola but I haven't been able to find it in the internets history archives yet.

They had this big ad out in the papers with the phone being super cheap and I just thought it'd be perfect for her. So I went to a big tech chain store and there was a line of people like one hour long just to get inside... Finally I got in and laid my hands on one of the last ones they had left. I was super excited, and she loved it when she unwrapped the gift on her birthday... (I think her 18th, I was 17...)

One month later reality hit me hard because of course I'd signed up for a GSM phone plan so that she could use it, in MY name, and I ended up having to pay her bills for at least a year  Which was a damn lot of money too since they'd charge for every sms and minute.....learned a hard lesson that time lol!

Fast forward 20 years and I'm still pulling the trigger on fancy phones which look like they're almost free at the time of purchase and then gradually spending a fortune over the next two years :D

Here's mine, it's a bit boring before smartphones hence why I don't know exact dates.

Starting off
1) 2004 - Nokia 6100
2) 2004 - 2011 a few handmedowns including Samsung sliders / Sony W880i.

Smartphones
3) 2011- iPhone 4S 64gb
4) 2012 - iPhone 5 64gb
5) 2014 - iPhone 6 64gb
6) 2015 - iPhone 6S 128gb
7) 2016 - Samsung Note 7 (for about 15 days)
8) 2016 - Moto Z Play
9) 2017 - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
10) 2017 - Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Future
11) 2019 - Samsung Galaxy Note 10

I never meant to upgrade so often, I just have been fortunate to be able to. I don't count the Note 7 usually since it was recalled.

I still have the iPhone 5 and Moto Z Play (this is my backup phone).

My favourite phone - Note 8.

Least favourite - iPhone 4S.

Still no 100% iphone or other brand owners.
When I got the iPhone 6 and 6S I thought I would be iPhone4Eva but then honestly the lack of headphone jack pushed me away.

Seeing the incremental software changes in the years since has cemented my position in the Android world for the foreseeable future.

1. Random Nokia brick - 1998 to 2004
2. Nokia 3310 - 2004 (lost)
3. Motorola flip phone - 2004 to 2008
4. iPhone 3G - 2008 to 2010
5. Samsung Galaxy S - 2010 to 2012
6. iPhone 5 - 2012 to 2015
7. iPhone 5S - 2015 to 2019
8. iPhone 3G - 2019 (5S battery wrecked so went back to this until I buy a new phone)
9. Not sure

Still have all of them beside the Nokia I lost. Not sure where the first Nokia is though.
I am on the search for a new phone, I am looking at the Galaxy S10e right now.
