App Store wants me to authenticate the security code on my credit card on the new iPhone 5 but I get this error everytime I put it in. Any ideas?
 
I fixed it. Try signing out of the stores in the settings app then going into the App Store app and trying to DL something it'll ask you to sign in then everything worked

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me -- still having the problem.

the only other thing I did around the same time was buy a ringtone in the itunes store and that worked. maybe try downloading something in iTunes.
 
DAMN IT....It's still happening for me.

Here is what I have tried:

-Re-entering my CC info in the App Store, iTunes and Online at apple.ca
-Signing out of and into the App Store and iTunes.
-restarting
-force quitting the app

-the last resort is maybe to do a restore and try a fresh phone.

-I think I'll wait and see if it's a problem on apples end.:confused::mad:
 
okay so i got it to work.

I logged out of the App Store
Changed my date to june 22
went back to the app store, tried downloading a game
told me to update CC security number
i filled in the number
it froze on a blank screen
force quit the App Store App
changed the date back to today's date
tried downloading the game again
it asked for my CC number, i put it in
it accepted it and the game began to download

or maybe it's a fluke that it worked on apples end:apple::apple::apple::apple:
 
Worked for me...I
-Disable auto date and Changed date to Sept 22 2012
-Logged out of iTunes/App Store
-Logged back in to iTunes/App Store
-Went to App Store and purchased app
-it asked to confirm my CC info, I did and it went through.
 
I just got it to work. Signed out on my iphone, reenter all the payment info in itunes and signed back in
 
I had the same problem this is what worked for me
From the home screen go to 'Settings >iTunes& App Store
Click on your Apple ID and a blue screen should pop up
Click on 'View Apple ID'
Then click on 'Payment Information' and just re-enter your credit card info
It worked instantly for me

This is precisely what I did, and now both stores work fine.

I have tried updating my CC info but still the effing thing fails.
I HATE APPLE.
Why the F are they wasting our time with these idiotic error messages?

How to do kill effing everything on Apple?
I want to
A) cancel my account(s).
B) Delete all my data.
C) And set my phone back to factory settings

SCREW APPLE.

Are you going to be okay? If you react like this to a credit card issue, then I would really hate to see how you would react to something more serious.
