May I see how your office/studio is set up for typical photographers / designers ? Also do you prefer magic mouse when doing photo editing?

Well everything from photo studio to how your computer is set up if in one room, if not desk set up would be nice. I'm looking for some idea on private photo studio/office space set up.

I'm a graphic tablet devotee, once you get used to them, it's so much more convenient and ergonomic to use as compared to using a mouse. I have a whole series of actions that are activated at a touch of the graphic pen to the 20 buttons at the top of my tablet, things like creating a new curves/levels/adjustment or gradient layer and the like within Photoshop are just one touch movements now.

My current studio is full of junk as I am in the process of relocating but it is two rooms - one a photo studio, white walls, blacked-out window and wall mounted paper rolls. Most of my work is done on location or in large studios so I just use this for product shots and testing. The other room is for desk work and meetings with big white desks in an L shape and space for two or three people to work. There are scanners, printers and hard drives that get little use anymore so I want to take a more minimal approach in future.

My new studio will be rather different but still in the planning process. I am looking at having a central Mac Mini server hidden away and a nice clean desk space.

Erm…here's some early photos (obviously not taken by me) of my studio that don't really show anything. It's gained a lot more lights, stands, backgrounds and props since then, unfortunately the ceiling hasn't raised any.

My loft space in Atlanta. I have an Autopole system with 12' seamless off camera on the right and plenty of natural light.

Not if you live with a wife and daughter who don't appreciate the need for a photography studio.

No chance. They are both dead against having their picture taken.

Don't really have a studio, most of my work is made while traveling. That said, the trunk of my car holds a studio. Lots of strobes, modifiers, speedlights, stands, etc etc etc. I typically transform a location into a photo set. I don't own or typically use a seamless.

Back to somewhere stationary (which could be at a number of locations in the country), I do my post on a 27" iMac with a Wacom tablet.
