The quality of this device is a big disappointment. I would have loved to have seen a polycarbonate sealed unibody construction like the Lumia 900 or HTC One X . The bezel is also made of plastic. Why can't Samsung get it right? This could be an awesome device but the cheap construction killed it for me. I'm convinced that Samsung will continue making high spec devices with poor build quality.

I think his point, at least how I see it, is that a LOT of Android fans were bashing Siri when it first came out. A gimmick, etc. Just find it funny/ironic that they now have it, and feel it's something special.

I don't get those people. I am what some might say a fanboy but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate what the competition have to offer.
A 4.8" phone with the potential for 96 GB on board storage at once (with 32 GB swapable at that). Plus a removable battery. Um...I am officially leaving the iPhone and eating my app / video investment. Thank goodness - I am officially sick of Apple and it's fanboys. I was really just waiting on that storage - I hope the US variant actually comes with a 64 GB option.

A lot of the software coming on the phone seems very impressive.
On-the-phone tagging of friends and facial recognition is going to be a huge slap in the face to facebook. Look for facebook to integrate this feature into upcoming Android/IOS apps (so that Google+ doesn't pull ahead of them).
If everything works as advertised then the Galaxy S III will be a slick little device.
However, I expect massive bugs. Being able to do things like yell at your phone to wake it up sounds like it would eat a battery alive. Using the camera to determine when someone is looking at the screen seems like a bad idea if you're in a crowded locale.
The interesting thing will be seeing how long it takes Samsung to fine tune all of these ambitious new features.

You could always install Chrome, no? That's what I used on my Nexus and it was just for ICS I think but this will be running ICS.
S-Beam is one of my favourite features, but it's a shame it will only work with other S3 owners. Check this out:

The blue on the browser bar isn't that distracting (especially since it disappears after the page loads and you scroll around).

Personally I didn't like the GS3 but I'm trying out the nexus I think I ma use my 4S as the company phone I miss the 4S camera a bit but the Galaxy nexus is not a bad phone at all and the bright screen is really good
I usually love new gadgets. I have owned my fair share of both iOS and Android devices. I don't know what it is, but this phone does not excite me in the least. Way to big and plasticy. Kind of seems like a boring update.

That would be one of the first things I did if I had one.
Edit: I will say it does go beyond that. Nova or Apex launcher will give you a "stock" launcher experience. Google Music will enable you to use Google's cloud services.
There are ways to get away from the Samsung customization which does help a little.
I guess I am in the minority but I very much appreciate the small device size. I use my iPhone primarily for email, iMessaging, and taking photos. The ability to do this all one-handed is a huge plus for me and will really miss the compact form factor is Apple decides to go bigger.
If I want a bigger screen, I reach for my iPad.
I hope they do different variant versions, and AT&T does another killer 4.3" version of the GSIII, like they did with the 4.3" GSII and other's like the HD and Epic had 4.5-4.65" screens etc. And I hope they stick with capacitive buttons on the US models just like the GSII I9100 had the physical home button and others got the capacitive versions.
I'm fine with my GSII though, no need to upgrade, this phone still kicks ass and with huge dev backing on XDA. Be interesting to see what happens with the Nexus line come this winter.

Most importantly, Samsung Galaxy S3 is 18% faster than the HTC One X.
It will work. 64GB MicroSDXC cards work in the S2.. there's no reason why they would remove that functionality.

I doubt they'll shrink it. AT&T likes their big phones nowadays.
With the GSII, the global/first/main reference model was already made with a 4.3" screen. AT&T didn't do anything special. They just chose not to change it.
