Up until a couple days ago I would have listed Facebook as one of my top 3, but not anymore, not since I found Focus For Facebook. What it does is filter out all the annoying spam you don't want to read. I mean, I love my friends, but some of them do that Farmville thing, and as much as I love you, I really don't care that you found a lonely colt wandering on your farm, you know? Especially when there's like, 20 of those kind of 'updates' everyday. FfF filters all that stuff out and only posts "real" posts. It's fantastic. :)

Grocery IQ - best shopping list app there is, period.

Knocking Live - send LIVE, streaming video to any iphone, any generation, even ipod touch. Is the video quality as good as Facetime - no, but it's not bad, and it works over 3G ;)

For ppl posting in this thread, instead of just naming the app, could you tell a bit about it? Thanks :)

eta: Knocking Live also works on some non-iphone phones, I forget which ones, but they're listed on the app's site.

eBay - Pretty self explanatory. I like that I don't have to keep logging in and the watching, buying and selling part of my eBay is super easy to get to.

iTV - No matter where you are it will find your location, then give you the local cable options to update the TV listings. It gives you all tiers of channels and editing options as well.

Photo Transfer-let's you transfer photos to and from your iphone using a computer. Super easy to use.

for me, aside from the native apps, it would be Facebook, Echofon, Shazam and the Weather Channel. Had to list 4 as I couldn't leave one out :)

Dragon Diction (voice typing, great for texting and spelling unusual words) Huffington Post (news)
AppBox Pro (to much to list but the app description explains it)

Red Laser (saved 50.00 on a tomtom first time I used it)
My Wireless (pay and track your att wireless account)

    One from different categories:

Music: Pocket Tunes - I can stream local/international radios as well as podcasts including TWiT Live.

Control: Air Mouse - I use this everyday to control Media CenterMac mini.

System: Pastbot - With iOS4, I can quickly fetch email address and other common clipboard items and flip back to the previous app.

I don't have a ton of apps, and don't use social apps so some of mine are a bit odd.

Again, not counting the standard system apps (mail, safari, iPod are top three system apps, but Camera is coming up on the outside now that I have a decent one in the iPhone 4)

Top Three by number of times a day I access
Angry Birds (though it makes me want to throw my phone against the wall sometimes)
    Weather Channel
    What's On (Zap2It) - TV listings
(IMDb is a very close fourth)

Top Three by Place in my Heart
Stanza (free reader that has always been as good as iBook for the free books)
Weber's On the Grill (I eat a lot of grilled stuff)
Emerald Chronometer (can't wait until the images are updated for iPhone 4)

My top three obscure apps not listed above
    I.D. Wood (wood identification reference)
Knot Guide from Winkpass Creations (best one I've seen)
Listen-Listen (a match game that uses musical sounds instead of pictures)
