Everyone is spot on so far (Super Drag and Drop!, etc.) The one thing nobody's mentioned though, is how easy it is to install and uninstall most applications. Gotta love disk images (dmg's).

3 - The poor behaviour of Flash sites and everything else SWF (I can't understand why this happens, can someone clarify?

I can only guess that SWF for Mac is built on legacy code or is a crappy port from the PC version. Either way, it needs to be re-written.

Things I like

1) iLife apps (iPhoto, iTunes in particular.)
2) I don't feel guilty about not running an AntiVirus
3) The Green Zoom Button (works great for me.)
4) Software Installs are dead simple.
5) Sleep. Apple nailed sleep mode.
6) My 30inch Cinema Display. Worth. Every. Penny.

Things I dislike

1) Bluetooth. On my MacMini and MacPro, range has been very spotty.
2) Mighty Mouse. Eh...lame.
3) Backup - Waiting on Time Machine
4) Lack of games. Getting better, and I do use BootCamp for my trump card.

Things I don't use:

1) Expose (again, 30inch monitor.)
2) Spotlight (never seem to have a real problem finding anything.)

In no particular order...

Spotlight (just b/c it's easy to use)
Quicksilver
Application integration (mail, iphoto, etc.)
Expose' (13.3" macbook...so I kind of need it)
Intuitive shortcut keys (I use the keyboard so much more often b/c of this...)

I'm not a fan of the copy/paste functions of finder...I wish it was more cut/paste, but whatever.

Like:
Expose
Manually initializing screen saver
No spyware / viruses
Spotlight (essentially a start menu)
Aesthetically pleasing / easy to use

Dislike:
Finder, kind of
AIM (and a few aspects of iChat)
Limited games
Not very desirable for engineering

things that i love
1. aqua
2. Making the dock really small, and turning the magnification on max, hehehe.
3. speed
4. stability
5. NO EFFIN SPYCRAP ADCRAP or VI..CRAP!
Real quick, what's aqua?

and all the alternatives to win messenger for mac are java..
Eh? Do you mean MSN Messenger? If so, why not just use Adium? It's a free, universal, non-Java client that's probably one of the most beloved IM apps ever among its users. I've had no trouble adding my account to it and talking to my MSN Messenger-using friends.
Real quick, what's aqua?
Aqua is OS X's non-brushed metal GUI (I'm almost certain).

Reference: Apple, Wikipedia.

Hope that helps.

1. Expose. I set up one of the hot corners to tile all the windows and now I find myself swinging the mouse on every computer to a corner :D

2. Installing Apps. Drag and drop rocks.

3. Spotlight.

4. Ability to browse any site without worry

5. Looks nice.

I also love the dock and how it can show the status of the application (like how Mail shows how much mail you have)

Agreed, I go home for a weekend and get frustrated when my PC doesn't show the desktop when I put the pointer in the bottom right corner of the screen, what gives.

Also, the Dashboard is among my favorite features as well.

-Expose - perfect for those of us with small laptop screens to contend with.
-No anti-virus/spyware cr*p
-Sleep mode - the way Windows handles this is simply terrible
-iLife/iTunes - great, seamless integration
-Frontrow (w/Apple Remote)

In no order

Its just works- I know it sounds stupid, but its does. Everything work together so much better then any Windows/Linux OS I've used to date

No viruses- So nice knowing what ever I do on the internet won't come back a nd hurt me. I never fearing opening email stuff when when they warm me!

Spotlight-One of the best searches ever...when I'm on a PC I miss Spotlight alot

iLife/iWork- Keynote rocks, kicks the crao out of PowerPoint. iTunes rocks(althought thats on PCs as well), and all the other iApps are so easy to use!

Macrumors- if I ever have a problem, I can come here and BAM its solved!

Finder is also awesome...I've heard stuff against from many Mac users, but I'm a huge fan..also the dock is great too!

things i like:

1. osx is beautiful
2. alot of things just work how they should
3. garageband
4. textmate
5. quicksilver

there is nothing I dislike about my mac--but apple keeps making me believe I need a newer one!

I Love:
1. iLife, baby
2. Finder- It's a million times better then Explorer
3. The Dock
4. Force Quit-what more is there to say?
5. Spotlight

I Hate:
1. Compatibility issues
2. BootCamp-One pain in the ass I didn't need
3. Aqua
4. Very little classic support
5. Disk Utility-Why do I have to boot up with the original disks to repair my HD?!

I Like:
1. Stability
2. No worry about viruses / spyware
3. System wide color management
4. Exposé
5. Spotlight

I don't like:
1. Lack of cut paste for moving files around (spring-loaded folders make up for this somewhat)
2. Paying for quicktime pro
3. Flash performance
4. Inability to delete something without moving it to the trash. I know this can be done through terminal and with addons but there should be a default key combination that lets you do this.
5. Inability to empty part of the trash. Again, I know I can do this with terminal, but that shouldn't be necessary to delete a file off of a flash drive without emptying the trash.

1- Spotlight - Amazing search. I know others say that it sucks and it's slow, but when I just want to find a file, apple+space and type its name, finds it in seconds, millions of times better than windows' absolutely horrible search which always ends up finding a bunch of trash that you didn't want and buries your file deep inside

2- Pop up folders + expose. I include these together because using the all windows expose option or the desktop expose, you can move files very easily from folder to folder, and even deep in subfolders just by dragging your files on top of that folder and clicking space to pop it open (or waiting a second or two).

3- Automator - Can make useful little workflows. I have a few such as image resizers, "set to image folder" (sets a folder to have thumbnails of the largest size), "send by email" (automatically sends an email with the files attached

4- No viruses - Today a friend of mine on msn sent me one of those virus links (well actually the virus sent it to me), which I clicked "just because I can".

5- Updates - I dont know if I'm the only one, but I found the windows update process to be a hassle and a drag. With OS X, the updates are easy, all in one place, and you don't have to worry about anything after you click "update".

1. don't have to worry about an antivirus hogging resources
2. expose is quicker and easier than windows flip for choosing windows
3. the dock
4. force quit doesn't go FUBAR like ending an unresponsive program in windows
5. quick startup/shutdown

1. Exposé: Better then anything Windows has, very good if you have a lot of Apps or Finder windows open.
2. Dashboard: Again, it smashes the competition, with loads of Widgets.
3: The Dock: Simple, and effective! Can't imagine why anyone would hate it!
4:It just wirks, Very stable and, of course, No Viruses!
5:64 Bit in Snow Leopard. Finder is fast, Preview is blazing fast. (Open the same amount of images (1,122!) in Leopard and Snow Leopard for comparison. SL is way faster, with preview opening in one or two seconds, and the little icons at the side loading faster then in leopard. This is on 2GB Ram.

Hates:
1: QuickLook: It needs a List view for Folders, the only one I've found no longer works under SL
2: Quicktime X: No longer works with Flip4Mac or Perian, leading me to use VLC. A bummer as I have a few .AVI and .WMV files I like to watch.
3: The Hardware: Intel GMA graphics card is no good if, like me, you like to game, or use OpenCL. And I can't afford one of the newer models with the NVidia Cards in. and the polycarbonate casing has chipped twice, and a few very small cracks. and my D is half off.
4: Third party Apps still seem as slow on SL as they did on Leopard.
5: Safari: It needs firefox like plugins. since Flock has been very slow, and safari very fast, I am using safari as my main webbrowser. but it needs a Personal Web Cleaner, AdBlock Etc etc.

Of course, Those are really the only things I really hate, and there's more Likes. not sure why everyone hates Finder. have they tried Windows Explorer? and the games, Apple don't make them. Its not really their fault if the people who do wont support macs and make a version for us. Even Macbooks have a good graphics card in now!
