1) Logos - best Bible app available if you have bought the computer software. It gives me access to over 1400 books/Bibles/commentaries/dictionaries etc on my iPad. Plus it does highlighting and note taking now.

2) Appshopper - if you are one of those people that buy a $500 item and then cringe at the thought of handing over 99 pennies for a quality app, this is not for you. But for the rest, it simply can't be beat for value. First you can get it free (I got paid version to show developer how much i love it). Second, you just make a list of apps you want and instead of paying $12 for them, i get almost all my apps for free or 99 cents. Of course you also have to have a little patience.

3) Modern Warfare 3 - amazing graphics and again only 99 cents.

4) Shredder Chess - best chess app in my opinion

5) Galaxy of Fire 2 HD - amazing sci fi shooter with retina graphics.

DolphinHD (better than safari in my opinion)
HBOGO
GoodReader
Xfinity
AirVideo Free

Why would you say that? I'm one of those people and I've had loads of free apps because of Appshopper. (in between the occasional 99c app)

I hardly see FB on these lists. Do you all not use FB or do you prefer accessing it through Safari instead of the app?

The Facebook app really feels useless. Too little information displayed on the screen, it almost feels like a stretched iPhone app, especially on the new iPad. I use it through safari unless I need to upload a picture or something.

Because generally people that worry about $1 are ones that won't spend much time looking for apps. So they will occasionally browse the store for free apps only, pick some up and then not visit it for a while.

Then there are others, like you, that also worry about spending $1 on a quality app but still likes apps so your frugality fights against your love of tech/games and you find a use for Appshopper. I'm sure there are far more people like the first than like you.

But i'm glad it works for you :)
