Yup, I'm seeing that as well although the app itself doesn't seem optimized yet.

Cool now time to tell the Protube developer so he can update the app to support 1440p!

In a separate issue, my YouTube app keeps saying I'm offline? I have to delete the app and reinstall. Driving me nuts! (This is on a Pro).

Thx, I did not notice that.

Oh wow, thanks for the heads up! Maybe this is a sign that they'll finally optimize the whole damn app for the IPP.

Although, Apple's own website says that video playback is only up to 1080p. So, would watching YT in 1440p do anything?

Yeah it's strange to why they say that when the screen is 2k.

I've got 1440p and higher res videos shot on my GoPro and they play back fine at the higher res and you can see the difference.

Where does it say this?

There is definitely a difference watching 1440p videos instead of 1080p videos on the iPad Pro.

Definitely. I took screenshots of the same frame, one in 1440p and the other in 1080p, and you can tell that the 1440p setting is a lot sharper.

Now if only they would optimize the rest of the app we'll be good.
