Thanks for your help... I had no idea about doing something like that..

There is a white box around "youtube" is that normal?

Glad you got it sorted out. You can do that with any link to any website.

I got to work then when i deleted the image and link from desk top i got this question mark on the icon...
Yes, because the Dock icon, like all Dock icons, is just an alias pointing to a target. If you delete the target, the alias doesn't work. Just move the link from your Desktop into whatever folder you want, then drag it from that folder to the Dock to create a new alias. Then leave the original in the folder.

There is actually plenty of benefits from making a dedicated YouTube app. First one that came to mind was that you could get a controller app for ios or android and use it like a remote control for the TV but for YouTube. Also, I'd like to see things like they have on the Nintendo wii U where you're watching a video on your iPad but want to throw it onto your Tv right then and there by swiping up. They could add special features to an app like an easier way to make YouTube playlists, or modes for it to keep playing related videos continuously. I'd love to watch stuff on YouTube while doing something else and not have to worry about looking for other videos.

I vouch for Tuba. Use it on my MacBook Pro and Mac Pro with great results

Edit: just noticed this is an older topic. There is an app now though and I have used it for about half a year and never looked back. Less CPU usage, no adverts etc

You get much better quality videos
Dude, you kicked a 4 year old topic...

Here is a FREE one

That's nice. Do you happen to know if the company is trustworthy? They don't provide an address on their website, search engine says they're located on the Seychelles, et cetera.

But to use the app, you will probably log into Google via their app. Makes me hesitate a bit.
