Youtube on iOS 8 definitely has a lot of issues. However, iOS 8 itself has lots of rotation issues so I wouldn't be so sure what you are seeing is a Youtube bug.

its STILL not updated for ios 8 let alone iphone 6 screen, typical google theyre always like this..give them another..few months:rolleyes:

Except they already updated their Gmail and Chrome apps.

I get this bug on my iPhone 6, 8.0.2 and the newest YouTube update (today).

I expect updates to the rest of Google's apps this week. Yesterday gmail today chrome.
I get this bug on my iPhone 6, 8.0.2 and the newest YouTube update (today).
I get the same thing on my 6+. It's easy to fix but I can't recall right now, I think going out and back in the app fixes it.

didnt know i dont use them, i meant it as in the youtube part of google, theyre slow & almost like robots when it comes to managing youtube since they acquired it (lol the youtube flagging system etc)

I have one major ANNOYING bug with the YouTube app on my iPad 2

When scrolling through my Subscriptions and looking down the list of new videos, when I play a couple of vids and then go back to the scrollable list of new videos, I then find that the screen becomes a little unresponsive.

By that I mean that after a while, I cannot select ANY videos to play - the scrolling up and down still works (when scrolling up and down to see all the new videos) but actually tapping on the videos to start them playing does nothing?!:(

The only way I can get around this is to kill the app (from the multi-tasking tray) and restart it. At first, I thought this was down to my iPad but it is not - I downloaded a 3rd party YouTube app and that works fine?!

Anyone else getting this?

Yep still messed up, just like a ton of apps are still not optimized for the bigger screens, especially for my 6+. It is getting really annoying. Hopefully soon we will see a lot of developer app updates.
