YouTube App Syncing with TV YouTube App

I'm trying to sync my TV's YouTube app with my iPhone's YouTube app (from Google) running on iOS6.

I know with the web app it used to work, but I'm not having any luck with Google's application.

Anyone manage to get this to work?
