Which is funny because it's probably going to come to a point where 80% of the viewership will be on these so-called "mobile devices". I rarely watch vids from a computer these days.
It seems to depend on the video. I watched a few music videos yesterday on my TV via iPad Airplay but the last one I tried didn't work. It gave me a message saying the uploader didn't allow it to be played on mobile devices. Download the VEVO app as someone else mentioned and the Vimeo app. If you live in the US (might work outside US; not sure), the NPR Music app has a lot of good video/music/interviews as well.
