I have noticed since I first got the iPhone X, that YouTube is making the phone very warm, when watching videos online should be one of the most power efficient tasks you can do on a phone, the iPhone X should be able to pull off over 10 hours of YouTube streaming, and it definitely won’t do that while being that hot.

The same thing appears to be happening on my iPad as well, it just eats through batteries.

The easy way for you to test is just watch a video on the iPhone X while the device is nice and cool and see if it gets hot after a while, it shouldn’t, not for an app like YouTube. hopefully this gets fixed.

I thought I was the only one experiencing this! Yes mine has been warm as well even after just a few minutes of viewing. and it wasn't even high quality 4k or anything like that.

Already got about 8.5 hours usage yesterday but did notice YouTube doing a lot of drain, so today I deleted it and am currently at 35% after almost 7 hours usage (fairly comparable to yesterday), and definitely less heat. Seems something is definitely bugged with YouTube.
