Limiting access to PiP was such a silly decision! It's literally one of the reasons that I _haven't_ used YouTube that much. Glad to see them wising up!
Why do I want a tiny video on a screen that’s already too small to watch a video?
If I want to watch tv or movies I’ll go home and watch them on my tv

Agreed.
This is clearly a case of special treatment for a megacorp with leverage over Apple here.
It's a bummer.
The reason I don’t use YouTube in the browser (or only for random links) is exactly privacy, to keep my YouTube account separate from what I do on the web (that Google knows about). And also to not pollute my YouTube recommendations with random YouTube links opened in the browser.I don’t use apps when I can use a browser. Way more control over everything including privacy.
It couldn't have felt more like ransom to get the feature back if they asked for payment with a briefcase full of small bills.Finally. A third party paywalling OS-level features on my device shouldn’t have been a thing in the first place.
harder to skip ads in picture to pictureLooks like they finally figured out that picture-in-picture can also be used to serve ads 😂
I’ve been using the Brave browser. It doesn’t need any ad blocker.Yep.
In Firefox I use uBlock Origin, Enhancer for YouTube & Control Panel for YouTube and it's better than it ever was as a YT Premium member.
