YouTube in Safari seems to be displaying without any CSS. It's a plain white background with text.
This started about two days ago. I have deleted all website data and cleared the history in Safari but nothing has changed.

Firefox displays YouTube correctly.

Any ideas what else I could try?

I'm having exactly the same issue. For me, it started yesterday.

On Chrome it's working fine.

Right, the answer seem to be the AdBlock Extension. Disabled it and the page loads normally.
Not sure if it's a mistake in AdBlocks rules or if YouTube is doing something to discourage people using Adblockers.

I disabled it and it's working. If it's YT doing something about AdBlockers, it's weird that it's only happening on Safari. Let's hope for some more news on this. I hate YT ads.

Thank you!

I have no problems on YouTube in Safari with using uBlock or Adblock together with Ghostery. But when I enable the NoThirdParty extension it looks like this, even without images.

Why do you use uBlock over AdBlock? I may try it. Would lose my whitelist but that's not a big deal.

On my MBP I have gone back to AdBlock because I had some problems with uBlock choosing an element to block, but there are also no problems with YouTube.

I heard uBlock should be better and faster but the version number is still lower than 1.0.

I'll keep AdBlock to see if this is some kind of update that messed things up (me and OP had the issue starting 2 days apart). In case it doesn't get fixed, I'll try uBlock. Thank you!

adblock (with the latest 10.11.4 public beta) does weird things to youtube video links (on not-youtube pages); i switched to ublock (i keep both handy in case), and for now...seems ok.

Just tried AdBlock and Adblock Plus instead of uBlock. Also no problems with both.

Strange, on my iMac I don't have that other fullscreen issue.

Ok you made me try it. Let's see if it's as good as AdBlock.

I'm using the beta version of the new Adguard content blocker from here and I'm not seeing that issue on YouTube. This Adguard beta uses the new Safari "content blocker" method of blocking rather than the older extension method like UBlock/AdBlock and it seems faster.

Might be an alternative for some of you having YouTube troubles.

This worked for me, as well. Thanks for the tip!
