Curious to see how YouTube is in both Portrait & especially Landscape on the X now that it's been updated.

Screenshots of various sources in both original aspect ratio & zoomed to full screen (of the same still frame) would be appreciated.

I got my X on Day 1 and it was already supported. Or maybe I’m thinking of something else. Any way here is a screen shot.

I'm on app version 10.35.11705, resisting any further update since I want to keep the red YouTube icon since iPhone 7plus. I'm sure there are compromises, but I'm curious what X features I'm missing out on ...the gap on the bottom for the home bar doesn't annoy me, so not a huge compromise, and don't care for zooming in further

Thanks mate. Despite the slightly differing frames, the compromised lost footage is glaring.

This is probably my biggest gripe with the X - perhaps a change in resolution in next years model (6.1"?) will allow more of the screen to be used when watching video.

Also just realised this update possibly hasn't revealed anything we didn't already know....although maybe Portrait view makes better use of the taller screen?

Been X optimized since launch day.
Ok, there was an update yesterday that mentioned support for the X. First time I'd noticed it. But I've just checked Youtube update history & apparently the first 'X support' update was a week ago, in my neck of the woods anyway...

YouTube updates have almost happened daily and indicated X support.

I think Google is Leaving it in the update language for informational reasons.
