Quality of The Youtube app sucks on 3G.

When YouTube on Safari goes strictly Html5 are we able to see normal quality on 3G?

I don't mind the load time if on 3G, I just want the normal quality.

The Youtube APP is to blame for the downgrading of the video quality. It is not AT&T 3G.

To get around this you have to "fool" the APP into thinking you are on Wifi.

If you tether your ipad to a jailbreak iphone running Mifi using 3G, you get full rez videos. This is why I prefer to use a tethered 3G connection vs a Ipad 3G connection. It is also a LOT cheaper 🙂

Yeah it is a lot cheaper but not as cheap as just having an iPad 3G with a go phone.

I sold my iPhone.

But yeah if you already have an iPhone than the wifi iPad is the way to go.

In my case since I don't have an iPhone because the monthly bill was too high I went with the iPad 3G and a go phone. Works out great 🙂
