YouTube really really really slow, please help

Hi,

heres the problem, anything on youtubes site or embedded is extremely slow to load, i mean about 10 minutes for a 1 minute video.

the rest of my internet is running at about 280k.

the problem started about 3 days ago, and i have tested it at various times day and night.

any help would me much appreciated

(i am using safari on leopard 10.5.3, and get the same issue on a mac running tiger)

Having the same issue--I just noticed it today. Could be a more widespread issue?

I'm on 10.5, firefox.

i just tried it on my sisters sony running vista, and hers has the same problem.
however a friend in the same village has no problems at all.

i have reset the AirPort router, tried with and without openDNS and tried uk.youtube as well as just youtube.

Just as a confirmation, I am having the same issue too where I am running into buffering delays every 3-5 seconds of video. Tried reloading Flash player, rebooting router & cable modem to no success, even though data transfer is fine everywhere else.

This affects me both in peak and non-peak periods.

It's a known worldwide problem.
