iPhone YouTube scroll issue in comments

Anyone else have a scrolling issue in the YouTube app? Not sure if it’s a glitch related to IOS or a bug in YouTube itself. Or maybe it’s just the annoying new haptic touch. Weirdly my husbands phone doesn’t do it and he has the same phone/settings.

Issue: when scrolling in the comments under a video, my finger highlights in gray each and every comment it touches as I’m scrolling (makes it very hard to read and quite annoying) If I hold my finger over a comment longer than a second, it will open the comment up (not intentionally) Its extremely annoying. I didn’t have this issue on my iPhone XS Max running previous IOS

Using: iPhone 11 Pro Max
IOS: 13.1.1

Anyone?
 
Yes, I’m having this issue too. This is an issue that had been fixed/ameliorated but has returned.

I don’t know what the cause of the problem is, but I cannot help but notice
that there are many other apps that do similar things and have super-smooth scrolling. And, indeed, the YouTube site viewed in Safari has smooth comment scrolling, even on an ancient and feeble 5S.

thanks for responding!! I’m glad it’s not unique to only me! I hope it gets fixed because it’s seriously so annoying!
