Anyone else dealing with this? Every 5-10 seconds, video in the YouTube app or even in Safari stutters and freezes for half a second. This is happening on my iPhone 15 Pro and my M1 iPad Pro on the 26 dev beta. Isn't happening to my M3 Pro MacBook Pro (also on the 26 dev beta).

It's a very consistent bug for me. I'm surprised nobody else has said anything about it, unless I really am the only one somehow.

Perfectly fine for me on iPhone 16 Pro and MacBook Air M4.

Do you have any Bluetooth accessories connected? Sometimes they can cause media playback issues.

The web browser on Mac and iPhone 16PM has been working fine for me and that is with Tailscale running and an ad-blocker.

No issues on my 16 PM or iPad mini A17 Pro, haven’t had any issues with YT videos in Safari or the YT app from dev B1 all the way through to the current B7.

In Safari I have a few extensions running such as 1Blocker, Banish, Ghostery, Noir and Vinegar. Videos from any source in Safari run normally.

I'm not really getting stuttering, but I'm getting a delay in starting a video on my 16PM, whether on cellular or wifi. It doesn't happen every time, but quite often. I'm on 18.6.2, FYI.

YouTube is purposely putting that delay at the beginning of videos especially if you have ad blockers other than YouTube premium. I have 2 accounts. The account with premium works perfectly and the free account has a 3-4 second delay before each videos with a button at the bottom that says, experiencing interruptions?

iOS 26 iPhone 16 Pro Max with AdGuard (free) +1Blocker (free) + NextDNS (free) + Private Relay on YouTube free app occasionally gets frozen on reels, video is playing minimized but unable to tap anything unless I exit the app & reopen again.

This is a very old topic, I’ve first noticed this on my iPhone 12 Pro Max switching from iPhone 7. It was then when YouTube also switched for iOS for another video codec.

I’ve been having stutters on 60 FPS videos on YouTube on all my iPhones the 12 pro Max, the 13, pro Max the 14 pro Max and now even the 17 pro Max which is crazy I think I’m not sure if the developers are at fault or the phone itself because most definitely power it’s not a problem.
