Hi, something is weird on my iPhone 4 (and on my old iPHone 3G) while I am watching a series of show (ie: part 1, part 2, part 3..etc.). Part 1 will be in HD but part 2 will be in *****ty resolution... Does anyone know why? Thanks

Have you tried the mobile site, m.youtube.com? Works much better than the built in app.

I just did a search and found out that the resolution will vary depending on using Wi-fi or 3G.... THIS SUCKS

I don't know why.

But m.youtube.com on my iphone browser. Videos still look grainy over 3g compared to over wifi.

It's better quality at m.youtube.com over 3g compared to the standard youtube iphone app. But wifi is still much clearer.

Summary:

Native YouTube app is the best quality using Wi-Fi because it streams up to 720p.

The new m.youtube.com is the best quality using 3G, since there is an HQ button to bypass that awful degradation that is in the native YouTube app over 3G.
