My iMac, '09, 3.06gig Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory 12 gig.
Whenever I play YouTube Video's, they are choppy and freeze frequently.
My software is up to date.
What can I do to solve this problem?
 
Which browser do you use?
Flash is up-to-date I suppose?

Have a look at Activity Monitor (Applications / Utilities /) and select All Processes and sort by CPU to see what the culprit may be.
Also check the "System Memory" tab to see what your "Page ins:", "Page outs:" and "Swap used:" are.
