Youtube won't Sign In.

Hey
I've been wanting to sign into my YouTube account on my iPhone but when I input my username and password then it says that I must sign in to YouTube's website to continue and then I continue on and sign in to my Gmail account and then it signs in fine but then when I go back to YouTube then it is not signed in and frankly I'm confused.
