I never heard of this channel before. But man, that was some of the best I've seen.
Kind of happy Apple didn't make an event, so we get to enjoy this presentation instead.

With Tim's drawl "..the best chippy Apple ever shippy." should have sounded like "..best chippay Apple ever shippay." :D

Apple's marketing chief Greg Joswiak on Thursday teased an "exciting week of announcements" planned next week, and that likely rules out a prerecorded Apple Event video this month, despite Apple streaming a short, spooky "Scary Fast" event last October.

Nevertheless, YouTube channel Front Page Tech has stepped in with its own rendition of the Apple Event we aren't getting this month. In the video, Jon Prosser does his best impression of Apple CEO Tim Cook and announces all of the rumored new Macs with M4 chips. The video is somewhat of a parody, so don't take it too seriously, but it's also an impressive production feat that Prosser's team spent nearly a month working on.

After you are done watching, check out our own recap of everything that Apple is expected to announce next week to learn more.

What is this? It's not based on real news so it doesn't fall under parody. It seems like some kind of fan fiction but it's not that outlandish either. I cannot tell if it's a wishlist of next week's announcements or just trying to fill in the visual blanks that we won't be getting with a flashy video this time. In any case, why hasn't it been taken down by Apple yet? It's clearly going to cause confusion in the marketplace and could damage Apple's brand.

"Add ethernet for only $69 more" ;)*

💰💰💰

*that's barely a joke. Note that they have an AppleTV with and without and the iMac had it ejected to the Power brick. But please defenders: pound away with a bunch of "wireless is 'the future'" and the usual 'should they have SCSI, firewire, etc ports too?" if this proves to be a correct guess.

I wish there was a sick reaction. This is just so gross. And they probably won't even do that.

Someone needs to make a picture of a Mac Mini with all the dongles hanging off it that you actually need to make it functional.

I maintain that the Belkin Weighted Dock, starting at $249, will be the play

Maybe one with an NVMe slot will be offered for $399?

You are probably not far off. This is why the video that's the topic of this whole thread exists. Some of Apple's decisions lately have been just so clearly anti-consumer that it's become a joke, people don't even expect them to do the right thing anymore.

Their shtick of removing things and then selling them back to you in a higher tier, or the consumer being forced to source a 3rd party solution, is really old ... and really not the experience quality that initially drew most of us to Apple in the first place

I will hand it to Tim -- this is a masterclass in nickel and diming the captured customer base
His "Ops Guy" chops are unmatched

1. You must be fun at the parties (not)

2. Obviously a parody of what an Apple event would have looked like, if they had one

3. If you haven‘t noticed, Apple doesn’t own Internet or YouTube, and they can’t just “take down“ content, which makes fun of them. Preserving Apple’s brand isn’t the top priority of anyone, other than Apple.

Nobody ever pays attention to the part where this is the start of the decline. It’s happened again and again and again but they don’t teach that in business school I guess.
