EE have offered me a 'no brainer' upgrade mid September so I'm seriously toying with going for the Z Fold 6 and Watch Ultra to compliment my 15PM and AWU2

The 16 Pro Max isn't going to be enough of an upgrade I don't think so fancy seeing what the current Samsung is all about (last decent Samsung I had was the Note 20 Ultra 5G - bloody brilliant phone)

So has anyone made the move and if so, how are you finding it? Or if you've just got them outright, same question too...

I had the Fold 5 briefly and was going to get a Fold 6 but ultimately decided to get the S24 Ultra. Its a spectacular smartphone and really does everything better than the Fold 6 does, outside of having the folding form factor. There are a few things that ultimately turned me off from the Fold 6:

1. The Camera isn't nearly as good as the S24 Ultra. It's better than last years but the S24 Ultra is still way better.

2. The aspect ratio of a lot of apps isn't optimized for the large Fold screen. Many apps have black bars around the app you are looking at to make it fit in the screen properly which really makes the larger screen not worth it. YouTube for example in full screen has less real estate than the S24 does, which is too bad.

3. The inner screen on the Fold 6 is a reflection nightmare, especially outside. I hate the way the screen looks with any light on it. It has to be that way right now because it folds, but I really don't like the look of it.

4. No S-pen slot - It's ridiculous to have to use a case with an S-Pen slot on it. It should be built into the device just like it is on the S24 Ultra.

I really like the hardware improvements they made to the form factor on the Fold 6 but ultimately, to me, it's a much lesser phone than you are getting with the S24 Ultra in almost every single way. When I was comparing the two side by side the Fold just seemed diminutive compared to the S24 Ultra.

Thanks for that...

S Pen - of no use to me. Never used it in any of the Notes I had over the years. I do get it's use though, just not for me

Apps - get that with having a Pixel Fold. But the ones I do use the most are fine with foldables thankfully

Cameras - I've got my 15PM so any majorly detailed, close up or huge quality needed pictures etc will always be on that. However the Pixel Fold, IMO, takes superb click n shoot photos, which is all I generally take and can see the Fold 6 being very much the same.

I get the inner screen reflection issue too. But it's not really an issue for me as the foldable is always going to be my, mainly, 2nd phone as it'd be my business mobile too

Might be worth waiting a few weeks to see what the next pixel fold is offering

Try enabling Touch Sensitivity ( settings - display - touch sensitivity )
I did but it seems like I need to hit the space bar right in the center and not slightly to the left or right. Probably because I have swipe to change language enabled. However, I also have auto correct with automatic spacing enabled but it seems like I type too fast for it to actually pick it up.

are you using samsung keyboard, or gboard?

He's just mentioned why he's chosen Samsung Keybaord - also with Gemini, voice translation on Samsung can be done in real-time and on device.

Yesterday's update I'm unsure if SwiftKey offers that, yet you didn't confirm if it does.

I missed that bit re the AI side of things (was on my iPhone at the time and not paying attention)
