Another very happy Zagg customer here. I've been using their glass screen protectors for several years and have been very pleased with both the product and the customer service from Zagg.

Yes AppleCare+ now replaces the screen for $30. But with Zagg for the Sapphire one

Initial cost:$50 - 20-50% coupons that nearly always happen (e.g. Black Friday). If it cracks they replace it for $6 shipping fee and I usually get the replacement in 3-4 days. And the phone works fine with the broken screen protector or just peel it off until the new one arrives.

May not be the best for everyone but it works well for me and I look forward to ordering the Sapphire in October since I won't get my 7+ until mid October anyway.

I've been meaning to make an account on here for a very long time, and replying to this thread is what finally made me do it lol.

Anyways, I've actually been waiting for the Zagg Sapphire Defense screen protector since they announced it. I believe that you will get what you pay for with this one, and it will greatly improve the life of the original factory installed screen. I've been very excited for this top of the line screen protector, that I wanted to pair with my transparent skin from Slickwraps. My goal is to decrease the risk of scratches or other general wear, and still show off my Jet black iPhone 7 plus without a case. I didn't even want to open my phone until I received the Sapphire Defense.

I placed my order over a week ago, and I still haven't received a tracking number. I contacted Zagg customer support, and they told me that the Sapphire Defense protectors won't be shipping for another month. I told them that this is unacceptable, and how I wouldn't have placed the order if I had known it would take so long to ship. I also told them they should mention this somewhere on their website (they thanked me for the suggestion...). They offered to send me an "InvisibleShield HD for the Apple iPhone 7 Plus" (their $20 protector) for free so I can use it while I wait until November for "InvisibleShield Sapphire Defense for the Apple iPhone 7 Plus" which I already paid $50 for.

I accepted the offer, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. A lot of people have said negative things about Zagg and their $50 screen protector, but I've chosen to see for myself before I make my decision. I really hope I made the right decision by holding out even though no one else seems to trust Zagg.

My only issue is that zagg is having issues with the edges lifting on 7 models. They apparently were trying to use 6 model glass there is subtle changes in the edges of the 7s

Does anyone have this actual protector on hand? I would love to see how it fits on the iphone 7 screen, as the boxes in store just have a little sticker on it saying 'Compatible with iphone 7'

They put 4 different ones on my 7+. All lifted at edges. I don't have pics. Already have Belkin installed perfectly. Not totally edge to edge, but looks and performs great.

Haven't used any screen protectors since the iPhone 5 as I never liked the feel of the protectors, and the screens all did hold up really well, without me handling them overly careful. I'm sure people require them in certain scenarios but for day to day use I think that the screens are just fine these days.

the sapphire defense is supposed to be a little flexible.. (it's not exactly glass, but more of a film infused with a sapphire coat of some sort) i wonder if this would solve the lifted edge issue

Old thread, I know. I'm wondering if anyone has this, or other Zagg screen protectors, and noticed they scratch easily? I just replaced a badly scratched Saphire Defense yesterday and wishing 24 hours I've got light scratches on it. Possibly just in the coating this time, but very annoying because it's new. Wondering if I should use the warranty service for a different one? Different model of Zagg of course.

No lie, I go through about 4-6 glass screen protectors for my phone every year. I typically get the cheap ones from Amazon at about $6 each and hope they last. With my luck I'd spend $49 on one of these new Zagg protectors with sapphire, and I'd somehow find a way to crack it in the first week of use.

They only charge like 5 dollars for a replacement with their lifetime warranty which covers shipping both ways.

That why you register it and have their limited lifetime warranty (limited meaning limited to how long your contract with the phone is). Just cracked mine and sent it in for a free replacement.
