Get the ZAGG HDX problem solved.

Yeah I was looking at reviews of the HDX as we speak. I am going to walk over to Best Buy during lunch to grab one and throw it on. I will be back here in about an hour or so to let you know my findings. I was so stuck on temepered glass but I hear very good reviews on the HDX as well.

Installed the HDX on both 6/6+ right out the box. It has been on both phones since early October. With no problems what so ever, went to the Apple Store on Sunday to have my 6plus replace because of extensive crashing issues. And was able to transfer my HDX to the replacement phone with no problems what so ever. Even though I order a replacement from ZAGG for free because I didn't think that I could reuse the current one. But I was wrong I must say I am really impressed, but because I am gett a free replacement from ZAGG. I am going to install the new one when it gets here. Also want to add the HDX is the strongest one of the ZAGG line, and it very Clare. And it doesn't affect the quality of the 6+ 1080 screen at all.

So the HDX is better than the glass?

So the HDX is better than the glass?

Yes it is u can go to there website and compare them. At the bestbuy here in Orlando Florida, they sell mostly the HDX and not so mush the pure glass one. And when I ask why that was. The guy to told me that the HDX is three times stronger than the pure glass one. So guest what? I went for the strongest one, make sense to me and it was $3-4 cheaper than the pure glass one. So that sealed the deal for me. Also the pure glass one is only 1% clearer than the HDX don't know if I would be able to tell the deference between 99 & 100% clarity I would need some Eagle eyes for that.

Sounds good

I tried the HDX and tore it off after a day. Hated it. Such a step back into the days of plastic protectors. Sure, it felt slightly better than the old plastic ones, but it sure didn't look better. Tends to dull the screen and is much more susceptible to fingerprints, dirt, etc. than tempered glass.

After trying numerous pieces of glass, I'm going naked with a coat of Liquid Armor (which is probably a placebo, but I have some lying around so why not) until the IMOS Solid Ex comes out. I have very high hopes for that one.

So I picked up the HDX and installed it and my first impressions are I guess its ok. I know how these Zagg protectors do, give it about a day or two and the clarity and little small imperfections will go away, I messed up on the install the first time since there was a piece of lint under the protector so I had to pull back off and re-istall it and its a little off but you can barely tell. im usually perfect with putting these things on.

I mean its protected and I think it will do better than the glass that cracked so easily with even babying my phone. Im sure I will be perfectly fine with the HDX but time will tell. Right now I can rock with it!

Good for you. Yea I never did get mine on the first go, but the second time around was a lot better. It will be fine the most important thing is that your screen is protected. Do u have a case on your phone?

Yeah its something up there but i will still keep my eye on these threads for updated tempered glass protectors. Yes I have a Diztronic case on my Plus.

The HDX is tempered glass mixed with other material. And u said it dulls the screen, don't have that problem with mine. As for finger prints. U can get finger prints on the pure glass as well. Simple fix for that is to clean your screen. Use to get finger prints after a while using my 4s /5s naked with out a screen protector. But I would wipe my phone down with micro fiber cloth every other day. That's just how I treat my investments, heck I even wipe my Mac screen down every 2-3days and I don't even touch the srceen. Don't know about liquid armor going to use the research button here in a few. But it sounds Hitech and good luck with that lets us know for sure how it's doing for u.

Liquid Armor was popular a few years back. It is, just as it sounds, a liquid you put on your screen that, once it hardens, supposedly provides scratch protection. The theory is that you might see what you think are scratches, but they wipe away when you buff the screen. They still sell it on Amazon for something like $15 per 4 installs. Again, it might work. Might not. But I figure what's the harm!

Maybe but not for those who prefer a glass protector

To each is own, I was just trying to relay another option to the all glass model. Which is the HDX that was recommend to me buy the people at Bestbuy and ZAGG. Even though it not pure Glass it is 3 times stronger than the pure glass, and is just as Clare as the glass. On ZAGG website the HDX has 99% clarity vs the glass 100% clarity, which for me is not a big deference in clarity and the HDX feels like the glass to me anyways. My dicision to get the HDX was base on the better protection it would have for both our 6/6+. I can live the 1% less clarity knowing it's the strongest one that ZAGG offers at the moment. By all means if the glass works for u then go with what works for u. Being happy with what u decide to go with is all that matters in the end.

Oh ok cool

I hope they are coming out with a new version...I have 6 chips and a crack on mine and it has never been dropped or thrown.

The replacement they sent me was supposed to be the revised version.

It is slightly thinner left to right.. Only covers the visible part of the screen. You see more of the black edges.

They thought this was the reason they are chipping.

Also, call if you are getting a replacement to see if the $5.99 can be waived. They are aware that these have an issue.

O was very excited o was able to get best buy to price match the 6+ zagg glass from 40$ or so to 22 dollars buy showing them it was being shipped and sold by zagg. So I bought 2 for the price of one very happy I installed the first one and have one left over just in case

My ZAGG glass developed shipping along the sides, and ZAGG sent a replacememt that Best Buy installed for free. The guy did a pretty good job...but the lower edge sticks out ever so slightly over the curve on the bottom of the iPhone screen. Ugh! They have great customer service and replacement warranty is great too...but not if the product is flawed.

If I get another chip, I'm going with the HDX as a replacement...or I may just give up on ZAGG altogether.

I have been use the HDX with no problems. And it's there strongest one by far.
