Zagg Glass Rainbow Effect on Edges

Does the Belkin/Apple have a replacement policy like the Zagg?

I asked the same question here, answer is no.

I am just waiting delivery of my replacement zagg glass. The newer version will come with a red plastic alignment tray for easier installation.

If the replacement glass is a tad too small, I'll just wait for another revision or so.. no biggie. Lifetime replacement so I'm not worrying.

I've like 4 or 5 zagg glass replaced before. They had several revisions for my IP 6 plus, and they only got better, fitment wise. My daughter is now using the 6 plus. Prior to giving it to her, I got another replacement for free. 6 plus is good as new, no scratches on glass or body. As long as you own the phone, a replacement can be requested with no questions asked.

Yes, there’s a “Limited lifetime” warranty. Search: BELKIN SC+ INVISIGLASS ULTRA IPHONE X.
However, when I tried to register it through Belkin, the product wasn’t listed. The webpage says this screen protector is only available at Apple. I’ll be making some phone calls next week.

I got the hd glass + installed at Best Buy yesterday. Very disappointed in the rainbow. I hope they fix this soon

Looks just like mine at the moment, but it seems like that they didn't align it properly. Did the package come with the red plastic guide for installation?

I don’t know if it came with the guides, I wasn’t paying attention when they did the install. All four sides have the issue so I think the protector is too small. My sons phone looks the same as well.

So those with Belkin’s glass, you guys have the rainbow effect as well? Mine is most obvious at the top, especially on the top left. The side and bottom have very minimal rainbow effect.

Unfortunately they do not. I've had success with these Belkin glass protectors on my 6+, 6S+ and 7+. Never an issue although others have had their share. I've always had the  store do the install. Perfect every time. I'm a fan of these.

what to do.... I have Zagg kiosk near my house and they usually do a great job at installing. I like the "free" replacements (they charge $10 for the install, which is ludicrous, but whatever.) after a while the glass starts to chip and i get a replacement. no big deal. I don't feel like shelling out $40 every year.

I hear ya. I used Zagg exclusively but they went downhill as of the 7 series on fitment. They tend to run a little short on the screens and I had issues with the edges lifting. I literally had the 7+ changed out 4 times! Kiosk guy then told me my brand new phone's screen was defective! Got refund and walked over to the Apple store and they installed the Belkin perfectly. Great fitment as well. So I've stuck with Belkin.

Thx for that. I was unaware. I wonder if they replace if it cracks...many have said theirs cracked but never indicated there was a warranty.

Slight bit at the top left. I was being anal after my experience with the Zagg protector. I rotated the phone in my hand after the Belkin install at the Apple store. Under the flouresant lighting, I had to pull the phone forward and look down on it to see it. So far, I’m very pleased with the look and feel.

Just an update. Received my free replacement (no shipping charge) but did not include an installation guide tray.

Just like expected, I received an updated version. No rainbow effect on this one!!! Perfect glass protector. I was able to remove the old one without cracking it, first time for me. I noticed that these are much thicker than what I had on the 6+. It took a lot of effort to actually shatter the glass.

Again, the replacement glass I received is much better! Happy camper here. It seems a hair bigger than what I had.

Thanks. To tell you the truth, I am very much stoked and excited, finally, with my new X considering I have a perfect glass protector without rainbow. It was bothering me so much on a latest and greatest device. Lol. I guess OCD was in play. Yeah, I’m anal with phone that I only now installed my new Apple saddle brown case to make everything perfect here. I’ve been waiting for this moment lol.

Ya, I got mine at Best Buy and paid the extra fee to have them install it the day phone was released. I will be calling zagg and getting a replacement and taking it back to best buy and having them replace it.

Just install it yourself. I did it while my wife is in the shower, steamy and dust free. Easy peasy. I trust my alignment skills better than those geek squad peeps.

They actually installed it perfectly and it was nice and straight. The only issue is the Rainbow Effect on the edge but that is not their fault.
