I got the Zagg Glass. I used the Hinge method (search on youtube if you don't know what it is). So it's perfectly aligned. You will need tape, and rubber band and cleaning tools.

I use the hinge method also, and it went on perfectly. Couldn't figure out what the yellow film was supposed to do.

Spigen's cases however are still excellent.

Personally I am not of fan of their cases. At least the Neo Hybrid. I loved the Neo Hybrid on my 5s, so bought it for the 6 plus. It makes the phone feel huge, and is very slippery. I gave it a few tries, dropped my phone a couple times, and will never put it on my phone again. I love the looks of it, but now worth it if I am not comfortable using it,

hey DiggityBiggity why do you prefer the hdx over the glass? have you tried the zagg original screen protector?

I prefer the HDX for two reasons.

  1. No scratches! It literally heals itself.
  2. A higher shatter protection than the glass.

It is VERY hard to shatter the glass ZAGG, but it is possible. The HDX gives a much higher (from what I understand) shatter protection rating for the screen. For that 1% loss in clarity, I'll take the self healing and more shatter resistant model.

Keep in mind, both products are amazing. You really can't go wrong with either. Oh, HDX is less expensive too.

Does the HDX settle around the edges? I just had it installed and it seems to have some bubbles around the edges. Love the look and feel, just hoping the edges eventually settle.

It should settle completely right away. Did you use the included squeegee or a credit card? There should be ZERO bubbles around the edges or anywhere on the screen.

Pics?

Sorry for the bad pics, but took them with my iPad and was hard to get right lighting.

I decided to give the Zagg HDX a try for my 6+ after reading the reviews. Right now I have a tech armor ballistic glass on my phone that I bought from amazon. Zagg HDX Came out to 19.99 after using coupon code DRIPPLER.

Did not work for me.

Does the HDX feel rubbery or smooth? I read here that there was a rubbery feel to it compared to the invisibleshield.

The HDX is made by invisibleshield, that is the name of the company. They make an HD, HDX and Glass (well at least for the 6's, maybe more for other models).

I find the HDX to be fairly smooth, I mean it's not going to have the same feel as glass, it's 2 different materials. There is a rubber feel to it, but I don't find it to be that big of an issue at all. The clarity is great.

I had the glass before the HDX, and I loved the feel of it, but the edges kept chipping because the edges sat up due to the curved glass.

If you want the smoothest feel possible, go with the glass. I'm just trying out the HDX now to see if I like it any better. I still have the glass and will put that back on if the HDX doesn't work out.

I had it done at a Zagg Mall Cart, guy said they would go away, just wanted to see if anyone else's was like that

I hate to do this to you, but if those corners and the entire screen aren't bubble free by the morning, I would take it back and have a competent technician install a new screen protector. Whoever did that was a total ass. I installed mine in 5 minutes, no bubbles, smooth as glass. That's enraging he did that to you.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I should of asked him to use a new one when he first handed me the phone back with visible dust under it. He just lifted it and used tape to remove it.

I took it because of their warranty policy. Easy to go back and get a new one.

I had the same issues when first installing HDX.

What I've found to be the cause was improper alignment due to the tight tolerance zagg specd for the film. The white trace you see around certain parts of the edge is because you've extended beyond the flat plane portion of the glass; it's not properly adhering to the curvature of the glass.

Best thing to do is remove and reapply, while making sure to stay within the flat area of the glass.

That sounds like a horror story!!!

I would just buy the protector and apply it at home in a controlled environment. No need for his user error, guy seems wholly incompetent to be applying film to a phone screen.

Sorry you have to deal with this, makes me sick to think this goober is potentially giving such a great product a bad name by a poor install.

Excellent advice. The tolerances on both the iPhone 6(+) and the ZAGG are incredibly precise. My suggestion is to apply by:

Cleaning the screen with the included alcohol wipe
Turning on the screen so you can see its edges
Using the yellow guide to make perfect contact

Good luck everyone!!

I have used both. glass for my 5 and glass and HDX for my 6. Glass on my 5 was amazing, feels like nothing there. Glass on 6 felt great but only just covered the viewable screen, HDX is slightly bigger (but for my HDX I was at zagg booth and they were cutting the screen protectors on a machine vs out of a box). Another problem was that glass chips really easily. After 2 months I had gone through 3 glass screen protectors. One chipped when I got dirt near the edge and used my nail to take the dirt off and then got a huge chip. My wife's 6+ glass screen chipped with in 2 weeks (she keeps her phone in a handbag). Changed to HDX. The feel is not as nice as glass and not as clear (still good). I like HDX but much prefer glass because it fees like nothing on the screen, would only pick HDX over glass because it was a pain to keep going to Zagg to replace the glass. Hope this helps.
