Not happy!

I just want to say that I had very good results with invisible shields on my 3G, but it sucks on my iPhone 4. The I applied the indivisible shield flawlessly on launch day and the next day it started peeling up. I am not talking about like the corners. The whole shield front and back would slide around when in my pocket. I got a replacement and the same thing happened. The glue is not sticky enough to hold it in place. I will be getting a refund.

I am gonna try a BSE.

Go with SGP man, I just put one on and it's great!

Makes me wonder if the normal glue they have always used doesn't stick properly to the new glass front/back of the iPhone 4.

Guess I will see in a few days.

Add me to the list of dissatisfied customers. I had no issues with my IS on my 3G. I bought my iP4 IS on launch day and applied it the same afternoon. It sat for more than 12 hours untouched. A few days later I noticed that the adhesive was squishing out at the edges. Then back piece started sliding around and partially covering the camera and flash. Yesterday I pulled my iPhone out of my (roomy, not tight) pocket to find that the front had peeled up in the top corner and today the other top corner peeled up. This afternoon I ordered the front and back set from Power Support. I'm hoping I have better luck with it!

Just to throw in my .02 - I am perfectly happy with my $1 eBay screen protectors on both by Ipad & iP4. No bubbles, no blurring, no orange peel. If i screw up the install, if they start to come off, if they get scratched or if am just up in an airplane and just freak the f out and tear them off...then no big deal.

I HATE mine (the Zagg shield)! I had it installed 2 days ago at Best Buy and the kid *swore* to me the orange peel effect and micro bubbles would be gone in 24 hrs. It's been over 48 hrs and it's every bit as bad as it was when he installed it. There's also 4 rough feeling chunks and a huge foggy spot in the middle where the film stuck to itself when he was installing it and he pried it apart. I had been going to just toss it, I figured they'd give me the runaround about a refund. I'm going to take my iPad in 1st thing tomorrow and have the 50-year-old-woman-come-aparts until they give me at least my $32 back for the shield. I'm probably out the $8 to have the kid install it. I'll put a cheap one on and live with a few bubbles until I can figure something out.

They wont let you return it if its been installed (even by them)... BUT there is hope for you. You can request a "replacement" from Zagg (part of their lifetime warrenty) and they just send you a brand new one all wrapped in the original box. Then you can just return that :) That's what I did at least...

Was happy with my Zagg IS

I installed the InvisibleShield on launch day, but have removed it because I now have my Otterbox Defender case. I was happy with it, particularly because it protected my iPhone 4 from a nasty scratch that deformed the shield (which Zagg has now replaced). That said, I doubt that the shield would have lasted more than 6 months without peeling badly, even though I had carefully put a bumper on the phone. It just kept pushing up the edges a bit, and the materials would move around a bit around the rear camera cut-out. I used to use for my blackberry some cheap shields that came 10 to a box; they'd last about 2-3 months, and then you'd just slap another one on. They didn't look great, and if you are anal about no bubbles and smooth feel, they wouldn't be acceptable. But they would address my biggest complaint about the Zagg product, which is that it is waaaay too expensive for what you get and for how long it would last.

No problem with the Zagg for me. They are all the same, BSE, Bodyguardz, etc. No difference whatsoever. Installation is the key. I never leave the edges exposed. It is always surrounded by a Bumper, case etc. Leaving the edges exposed is a sure way for it to peel off. No protector will last like that. I always trim before I install. They are never cut to fit in a slider or bumper type of case. Trimming a sliver off of each side with a paper cutter before installation makes it perfect. The edges never push up. ;)

Once it's installed properly I've never had a problem.

IS's are not great IMO, but if you want the same kind of thing but much nicer, get a ScratchWrap. 100 times better IMO.

There's a 45 day money back guarrantee so yes, they DID let me return it. She said they get the Zagg shield returned all the time.

Well my BestBuy (and Zagg) screwed me then because they both told me when I tried to return mine that the 45 day money back guarantee was only honored if you purchased from Zagg's website.

That's not right for them to do that. It says right on Zagg's website that you have to go back to wherever you bought it from for the refund if it's within the 45 days.

I bought the InvisibleShield full body kit from the Zagg web site. It's the first time I've tried fitting screen protectors, and while I can see potential in the product I'm disappointed with my first attempt because there are still small bubbles and some dust. I went to use the warranty to get replacements as I thought that on my second attempt I'd probably make a better job of it. I was disappointed to see that the replacement programme says that it doesn't cover installation errors such as bubbles or bad position. I'm wondering now whether just to try a different brand, after seeing good things about the Oleophobic screen protector.

I want to return mine too. I already had one replacement due to a defect making a funny magnified line going down the screen.

You have to pay for shipping on the 'free' replacements.

Then, they ******* up your return and say you didn't even send in the whole product and charge you for 2 of them now.

Then, on top of that, the new one has the same magnified line in a different location.

I want to return it. I don't have the box, but I do have the iS stuck on a piece of Renolds wax paper, and I have some solution left and the squeegee. I wonder if I can return it to BestBuy.

I recommend anyone looking at ZAGG products to simply turn the other way. They screwed me, and are likely to screw you.

I'm being charged fully for 2 defective protectors. You do the math.

I sent this to the president of the company this morning:

I had an IS installed at BB yesterday and I have a magnified line going down the middle of my i4 screen along with dust trapped underneath. I don't know if the glass was scratched when BB installed it or if it's the IS itself. Did that magnified line go way when you removed the IS?

Hyata, mine went away (I had one, too). It was in the same spot as the big foggy area where the screen folded in on itself when he was installing it and he had to pry it apart, so I assumed it was a crease. The thing looked like a big piece of sopping wet plastic wrap when he was installing it. All that liquid all over my iPad gave me the creeps. But I'd watched some of the videos and they'd used even more.

I just wanted to say that I returned mine yesterday and I was about 1 day away from the 45 day return window. Peeling and discoloration were my concerns !

Zagg shield or Best Buy Boy?

A cursory read of all the Best Buy complaints are either an installer problem or a Zagg problem. The first time I tried a shield with the Iphone 3G it was a mess, and I tossed it. The one I installed on my Ipad took me less than 10 minutes and it is beautiful. I will say that there is a small orange peel type of surface feel to it, but it is not visible. The shield does adhere a tiny bit to my fingers as I swipe here and there.

I have to say that it seems Best Buy doesn't know how to install these very well.

I don't think IS works all that well on the phone. I have a set and they are starting to deteriorate. They were always rubbery in feel. Orange peel minimally distorts on-screen graphics. Application went well. You have to have some hand skill to do a decent job of it, or prior experience messing one up and learning from that. I doubt I will go for a replacement.

Replacement by sending the product in sucks because then you are skin-less in the meantime. It appears the best way is to settle on a good skin and get two of them, swapping them out in kind when they go bad and you are always covered.

+1

I have the invisishield and have been extremely happy with it since i got it at launch. still looks like the day i bought it. Not sure what you guys are doing when you install these things but maybe get a replacement from zagg install it yourself take your time and leave it alone at least overnight. Ive had a zagg since the 3g then on the 3gs now on the Iphone 4 and have never had a problem with them other than some cases not fitting.

I would also like to chip in as I have the InvisibleSHIELD installed on my 3Gs and I'm very happy with it. It does precisely what I want it to which is simply to keep my iPhone scratch free and also make the phone look like there isn't a screenshield on it. The only 1 complaint I have is that is was a pain to install and took me about 45 mins.

I thought the Zagg was junk too. It never stayed put for me and the front one caused too many sensitivity issues and looked aweful. I sent it back to Zagg and they did in fact refund me.

I don't mind the shield or the orange peel effect. I love the protection.

Mine's been curing for about.. 6 hours now. Still have some smaller then salt sized air bubbles on the top but I don't think they're dust so hopefully they will disappear within a few days.

I got an invisible shield at a zagg kiosk in the mall. Less than 2 weeks later I realized yellowing and lint build up and sticky residue on the sides. Also my screen just seemed so much more stickier and would collect so many oils and finger prints. I found out there was a ghost armor kiosk in 2 miles within a 20 minute area. So I went to one, took the invisible shield off. Got a full body install. I chose the matte back. You can pick either the clear or matte. Only for the back though. The sides are also matted. The front you can hardly even tell anything is on the screen. Very resistant to finger prints compared to the zagg. Much smoother and the screen is much more sensitive. I would highly reccommed this over the invisible shield.
