Hey, I'm planning on getting the Zagg Invisible Shield for the new iPod touch when it comes out, but I'm wondering if applying it with water voids the warranty. Like when you have to spray the covers with water to put it on.

Also, any feedback on how they work and if they're good ? If I decide to put a cover on it, does it fit well ? Thanks in advance !!!

If done correctly, you won't have to worry about voiding your warranty. Just don't let any of the liquid get inside any of the ports and you'll be fine.

As to the quality on those things, they really are good. They're a pain in the butt to apply, but you really won't have to worry about scratches with one of these things on. Granted, they won't protect against a drop...but not much will unless you get a really good case.

If you are at a mall and you've never done this before - find a Zagg kiosk and pay them to do it. You won't be sorry and it'll save you tons of hassle.

I used to put them on all my devices and now I just pay the mall kids to do it. They do a good job to boot.

You should have no problems with liquid installation. Make sure you do not spray your device and that you only spray the invisibleSHIELD itself.

If you are nervous about it you can always purchase from a mall cart or any Best Buy store. For a small fee, they can do the installation for you. They have done hundreds so I am sure you will be satisfied with the outcome.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

I ordered mine online and I'm from Canada so I don't believe I've ever seen a Zagg kiosk in my area. Where else can I get it installed? You mentioned BB does that apply to Canada as well? Thanks.

So I have a question. I ordered from their online store and plan on installing it myself. I do have a small light leak on the top left of the screen. by getting the shield wet and applying it to the screen, will the water enter the ipod and damage it?

Most likely yes. I do have a small gap on the bottom of my nano and i am going to put tissue in the docking port just to be extra careful.

I ordered mine 9/12, it shipped 9/16, and I got it today. The back piece is actually easier to install IMHO than the front glass cover - any itty bitty bubble just sticks out like a sore thumb on a retina screen, and you have very, very little margin of error on the front piece as far as placement goes. It took me two tries to get it.

Don't forget to remove the "knockouts" for the rear mic and the front cam!

If one gets an InvisibleShield, does getting a soft case like a Speck do any good at that point?
