I’ve owned at least four iPads over the years and never put on a screen protector. When I was buying my first iPad at an Apple store I asked the salesperson about it. His response was,”look at these models on the tables, they get played with all day and don’t have screen protectors.”

Didn’t buy one and never wished I had, the glass just doesn’t get scratched up.

I put a Zagg protector on my Air 2 not for protection but to help with fingerprint smudges and it does it quite well - it cleans easier and does a better job of resisting smudges than the bare screen. It's a peel-and-stick process that is straight forward and I've also removed one, which went without a problem. From a usage perspective, I can't tell a difference between having one on and not.

I just wipe my screen clean with a soft cloth; works good. I'm happy this product works for you, I'm different in that I like the shiny smooth glass screen.

The Zagg is shiny smooth glass.

I think you are referring to this one:

The last Zagg product I tried was for my Watch Original. The problems I always find is getting all the dust off the screen and no matter how I try there ends up with an artifact or air under it. I too the watch one off and my screen survived without any scratches.

Glad you like them though, it just doesn’t look the same as an uncovered screen to me.

I have owned Zagg on all my iPads and iPhones. The glass version is very easy to apply and my past two installs for my old iPad Air 2 and my new 10.5 have went perfect. No dust underneath. Now I always install the protector the second I peel off the plastic after opening my new iPad. So I don’t allow really any chance for dust to creep underneath.

I've had zags on all my devices. I never needed it but my wife has received Four new replacements over the past three years fro cracks and scratches. Zagg ships free replacements if you have any type of damage. So for my wife; well she carries a lot of junk in her bag and the Zaggs have kept me from replacing and screen.
