I got the iPhone 8 and whereas in the past I did not use a screen protector (because the Speigen cases I had had a raised lip that prevented in "normal use" the screen from touching a flat service). I switched to a much thinner rear case that does not wrap around the front, thereby the screen - if you place it face down - will be lying on any surface. So I tried a Zagg Film HDX protector (installed in one of their own kiosks) and while it looked and felt fine, the edges had that "halo" look (at least that is what I think it is called).
So I went back and the young man suggested one of their glass protectors. I picked the Glass+ Luxe and really liked the way it looked and felt with the case I was using.
But, after less than 2 weeks, there is already a small scratch in it. I have been very careful with the iPhone - have not dropped it or put it down hard, do not put it in a pocket with keys or change (even though the front and back are "protected".
So my question is how "scratch resistant" under "normal use" are these stupid protectors? (And yes, I do realize that if the "protector" was not there, that small scratch would probably be on the screen of the iPhone 8.)
Thanks.

I've used Zagg in the past and never really noticed any scratches. The glass you are using is their top of the line glass and it's pretty good. I don't believe it's easy to scratch, but if it really bothers you call or email Zagg and ask for a replacement. Their customer service is excellent and they will ship you out replacement glass at no charge (you have to send the scratched one back, but they include a paid return envelope).

PS. The last time I used Zagg it performed flawlessly when my iPhone 6+ hit the ground. Not a scratch on that glass at all. My iPhone screen was an entirely different matter though as it shattered underneath the Zagg glass. At that point the Zagg was protecting my fingers. :D
