i ordered the iphone 4 skin, which covered the LED flash. emailed them about it. their shipping me an altered cut and said that all cuts are now with the LED uncovered. So without a doubt go with bestskinsever

the new cut:

Any idea WHEN they made the change? I ordered last week & it shipped yesterday. Hope I don't get the original cut & have to email them....

Also, anyone know where BSE ships from? I can't find their location anywhere on their site....

TIA

YOu should be good. Heres the email i got

"Hello Paul,

We unfortunately did not find any significant issues in our testing of the covered flash however enough customers have approached us with concern so we have gone ahead and updated the iPhone 4 Skin to expose the flash. Orders shipping from today and onward will include this update.

We are sending out replacement back covers to you today.

Thank you for your continued business and support. We sincerely appreciate it!

I received my BSE today (ordered last week) and it had the new cutout that does not cover the flash.

I've been using BSE for years and love what they do.

In the past year alone they've greatly improved their product, it has far less orange peel than before, and they've made it a lot less tacky, so it's perfect for finger use.

I've had BSE skins on all three of my iPhones, my iPad, my Macbook Pro, and have been very very pleased.

Go with BSE.

UPDATE: I just saw an unboxing video for the bodyguardz (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy0t-KxyFIk) and it seems it does indeed protect the homebutton, but I'm not sure since the video quality isn't that great. However, on the official bodyguardz application video they don't cover the home button... Could any iphone 4 bodyguardz owner let us know if it has a piece to cover the home button or not? What about bodyguardz for previous generation iPhones, did they cover the home button?

NO it does not cover the home button....

Somone beat me to this answer

I currently have the Zagg Invisible Shield and while there is still the orange peel effect, it is MUCH better than I remember it. The texture is very fine now and almost clear. Years ago, I had one for a Windows Mobile phone and it was horrible and rippled, much like the BSE skin I bought for the 3GS last year.

The Zagg does NOT have a cover for the home button but BSE does.

I am interested in checking out the SGP Oleophobic film which is fingerprint resistant. Anyone have experience with this?

Do any of these skins affect the oleophobic coating? Or even the power support crystal films?

Much appreciated. Looks like they ship from Colorado so hopefully I will see it tomorrow.

I was going to but ended up ordering this yesterday.

I doubt I would be able to see the difference between that & the BSE. I'm sure some people can & it's worth it to them. I have a $2 eBay screen protector on my iPad & it does the job for me. Text looks the same to my eyes. For the iPhone, I wanted the back & side protection & BSE seems like the best deal for that. That said, I do like the looks of this:

most important question:

which one of these will prevent the antenna issue when applied?

From the BSE website -

Protect your phone and solve your iPhone 4 reception issues! With the side pieces of the Skin applied, the cellular reception is no longer degraded when holding the Skin by the lower left corner.

Best Skins Ever Texture

Totally smooth or slightly textured? I want totally smooth but I cannot tell in the pictures. Any input from those who have bought and installed the newest generation for the iPhone 4?

Bse is great for the body, but I'd only use power support for the screen.

In the past BSE skins had texture, but anymore they do not.

My recent BSE skins show no orange peel, and no tackiness.

They're smooth and don't inhibit the screen at all.

BodyGuardz

Hello,

As a customer service representative for BodyGuardz, I would like to clarify that our material does not cover the home button or the LED flash. They are designed with cutouts for those specific areas. The reason is so it does not effect the functionality of the device.

In addition to our kits included 2 sets, we also offer free lifetime replacements. All we ask is that you pay the shipping/processing fees ($4.95). If you have any other questions we would be happy to help you. We offer live chat, and online customer support.

Thanks for posting here - I recently ordered your full body protection and I am looking forward to getting it. One recommendation though. You may want to make sure that your chat representatives know your product better. I asked one if the front screen protector covered the front-facing camera on the iphone 4 and he told me that it did (I've since come to find out that it does not). This incorrect piece of information almost cost you guys a sale since I would not have purchased your product if it covered either camera on the phone or the flash. Luckily I posted here and someone who actually has Bodyguardz for the iphone 4 set me straight.

Well, the customer rep answered it, but none of my previous BodyGuardz skins covered the home button so I don't see why the iP4 one would. I'm waiting for the dry apply BodyGuardz to come out in a few weeks. Friends of mine have the InvisibleShield, and BG is definitely much better in quality with no orange peel effect.

I'm doing bumper+BG back+PS front.

InvisibleShield SUCKS

The ones I had in the past never lasted more than 10 days and this one is the exact same.

I got on the 23rd when I got my iPhone 4 and today which is actually the 10th day I wake up and the top right corner was lifted.

my personal experience, bestskinsever is cheap price-wise and that's not a bad thing. But the cuts from my previous purchases from them have been a bit rough in the cuts and fit.

Invisible shield has an orange peel like effect.

Bodyguardz has no orange peel effect (or less prominent). I currently have my ipad and mbp in a Bodyguardz skin.

However, for the front screen none of them are good enough for finger usage. I would go for a powersupport or an sgp front protector.

I just received my bestskinsever, and after reading the online directions I don't think I'm going to use it. Talk about a pain to install! Which product do you guys feel is good and easy to install?
