So gonna wipe my hd since there's just too much trash.
Want to fresh install Leopard.

Question if I zero out 2x does that = a 2 pass?
Would do a 7 pass but nah it takes too long.

Sure, it would be pretty much the same, but you do realize... the point of a random overwrite is for information security, right? That is, you do it when you're giving up the drive so that no one can recover your information. It won't benefit you in any way in terms of performance. For performance, you can just reformat the drive without the overwrite.
