Two questions RE the Zoom app under macOS (this is on El Cap):

1. Is there a way to have the Zoom app terminate after a period of time? I sometimes forget to kill the blasted thing after a meeting and don't notice that it's still active hours later.

2. Every time I click on a Zoom meeting link sent in an email, the Zoom site wants to download a new copy of the Zoom app despite the fact that I already have the app and it's up to date. The only way I can enter a meeting that is password protected is by knowing the meeting ID and password, which is what the emailed link is supposed to handle behind the scenes. Is there some way to stop this behavior (short of not using Zoom)?

I'm asking here because Zoom Help doesn't and googling is coming up blank.

I have the same #2 issue - most meetings I attend they send separately the password - or you can look at the link to get ID and password.
Real pain in the neck - hope Zoom fixes this

I'm just wondering if this problem is tied to what OS I'm on (El Cap, for various reasons) and which browser (most current Firefox or Safari) on that OS. What are you running/using?

I am running Safari 12.12. on Sierra MacBook Pro mid 2012. The mailed link takes into zoom. Does not ask download another copy. If no password is needed I get in. If password is needed I get prompted for it. Get password. With out password automatic with password I have to enter it.
