Command + and Command - (both are under the View menu). There is no preference to automatically zoom in to the ridiculously small text Apple has chosen to use in News.

Command + and - only work once you open an article, which is nuts. I have no idea why they don't allow you to scale the whole thing. It's the only reason I'm not signed up for the service. If you're connected to an external monitor, it's almost too small to even read.

Yeah, the app is a crappy port of the iOS version. Apple should be embarrassed that it even exists. And zooming the entire screen is just not an acceptable option either. I'm in the same boat as you, I would love to subscribe, but the app is so bad that I can't justify the cost for something I literally can't use.

Yup, it's just bad design. To be fair though, it does look good on an iPad or a phone. Even just a laptop screen to a degree is OK, but with anything bigger than a 13 or 15 inch screen, it's just awful. I really wish they thought more about other scenarios rather than just mobile.

Do you know if this has been changed on the Mac or MBP? Just tried to read a mag...awful! My library and its reader does it so much better! And this is what Apple wants people to pay for? Seems like another 'abandoned' project...like the HomePod etc....

Just tried it on the iPad...useless!

And 'brillant'...the 'Commands' are greyed out...you don't know they 'work' until you try them! Absolutely Asinine!!! How does nonsense such as this get through ANY review process??????

Commands don't seem to work on articles in individual magazines.....defeats the entire purpose! Pretty sure some FB and Epic people secretly got hired to design this idiocy...
