ZR 85 not detected anymore through iMovie OR Quicktime

I'm calling the cops
My Canon ZR 85 is not longer working with my computer via firewire, yet it works with my sister's macbook (I have a PowerMacG5). It just never detects that it is plugged in. And I'm not doing anything different then before, it's just not working. What could be the problem?:confused:
 
Please I really need help on this, I am making a video and it has a deadline. The computer just gets the beach ball when ever the camera is even on!

The first thing i would do is prolly what you have already done, and yes triple post, get ready for the lawyers ;)


Try putting in another firewire port, try another firewire (if you have) and if you can do USB it should work via USB as well.

And yes im stalking your posts ;) :p
 
Actually, scratch the USB part, is that a digital camera or a video camera? if its video, scratch the USB part.
