Not for In-home advisor but for specialist.

Hey y'all. My question is about getting hired as a specialist at an Apple store (if anyone has some insight) because I couldn't find a forum on here about that. I had two interviews with Apple (one form hiring seminar and second from store in LA) and moved on to the HireRight stage. I received an email that it was completed last week, clean record. I haven't received a word from store yet so I'm wondering why it's taking them so long to contact me. Any thoughts on this? It's been tough finding a job and I really hope I get this.

Stupid HireRight. Just got an email saying that they are showing I worked for a previous employer for 5 months when I told Apple 2 years! Not sure where they got that info but it is horribly, terribly off. Done ranting. I wish they would just finish already, so I can bask in that "yay, I got the job" feeling that is so far eluding me.

did anyone have a strange call after the 3rd interview???

so i get a call on 2/2 from the recruiter for the chat position. He starts the conversation as if it is an offer call, but then when he confirms my address, he acts incredibly strange and says he has to look into something and rushes off the phone. He said he would call back end of business, but has not. I was unable to send an email from my gmail (getting a delivery not allowed as spam, error). I just called the number he called me from today and left a voicemail. Very awkward and strange. It has me wondering if it was possible he accidentally called the wrong person? It has been a little soul crushing and honestly I would have preferred to not even have a call back at all. :(

yeah, you may want to speak to your recruiter or that will turn into 'i didnt get the job' feelings

I called HireRight just to stay on top of it and good thing I did. I had to send them w2 transcripts because I don't have a paystub or my old W2 from 20-freaking-10. You would think they would tell me that instead of just sending me a message asking me if their records were correct or not. Wish they would do their own damn jobs.

You guys got me all paranoid!!! I just called Hirerite and thank goodness my BGC was complete and cleared as of 02/03. So what happens now? I sit and wait "patiently" for my paperwork, kit and the start date? Sooooooooooooo excited!

response time?

I had the 3rd interview on 01/29/15 and still haven't heard back. Is it by phone or e-mail that they contact you? I am sick to my stomach from the wait. I am worried about background checks too because of the dates...

I was contacted via phone exactly 1 week after my 3rd interview. They told me to expect an answer in 2 weeks. So if you haven't gotten an email yet you may be getting the phone call soon enough. As far as the BGC, you can contact HireRite after you submit your information to see if everything is checking out.

Also, I sent an email to my recruiter letting him know my BGC was cleared and I asked them what the next steps were. They called me back a few hours later and detailed some more info. I have to wait for another email to schedule an orientation call. Oh the waiting....at least it will be worth it!

Do you submit a new form with where you have worked? My one job I lost track of how many years I worked there and the business is closed now. I was wondering if they went by what your already put in, or do you submit a new form with dates?

You fill out a new form. I made sure to include all employment that I provided on my application and resume. It did not ask for a certain amount of past employment, nor did it ask to go back "x" amount of years. It asks for start dates and end dates but just month and year. You do not need to know the specific day.

Yeah, I am not worried about the day. But the years are probably off greatly. I think I put down that I worked at a place for like 6 years when it actually was like 2? I don't remember the time being and I don't have a W-2 or taxes from then. So maybe, I should take it off?

Just FYI b/c I had to do this for one of my past jobs. You can get your W2s on the IRS website in like 2 minutes as long as you get the verification questions correct. It's called a W2 transcript but HireRight says that it's an acceptable form of employment verification.

Do they want every single job you had ever in those 10 years? Because I left a ton out.

They did not ask for 10 years. It was preloaded with the ones you included on your application. So if you only listed 3 employers that only go back 5 year's that is all you need. Mine only went back to 2007. But yea, get the We from the IRS website. If there is a date discrepancy just contact your recruiter and explain the mistake.

Oh me too! I just put my most recent and relevant to Apple. HireRight is just verifying whatever you put on your Apple application/resume. Thank GOODNESS, lol! When I looked at my W2s, I had forgotten I worked so many random temp jobs.

So who all has gotten offer/paper work packets for the 3/9 chat class? It'd be cool to know some people going in...

I haven't gotten the paperwork yet. Have you? I didn't think we would get it until our scheduled orientation date. The recruiter didn't gives specific dates. As far as I know they are still in the process of hiring people. But it looks like we will be in the same class, so you know at least one person, lol!

Got offer call on Monday and then got a FedEx package on Wednesday with all the paperwork. Got an email that same day that had me schedule a conference call to help with paperwork (only one day/time for that though) and was told not to fill anything out until that call.

I don't know what the next step after this is though. I don't know anything about an orientation... Have you got a date for that already?

And nice to meet you!

Nice to meet you as well!
I haven't gotten anything yet. Perhaps I should check with my management office as they usually get all the packages. Still waiting on the email for the orientation call. I was told I should get the email within 24 to 48 hours. I should probably touch base again to see about that email. The orientation call is the paperwork call, my recruiter just called it that.
