Running the latest Snow Leopard (10.6.8? 10.6.9?) is the minimum requirement to run App Store.

Weirdly the betas had a minimum requirement of 10.6.7, which was less than the requirement of ML (which I think was 10.6.8).. It didnt make sense until todays announcement.

Exactly the problem. What is the solution? Mavericks is free, but to get it one still has to install the older versions which are not free. Or will Apple change this?

You can create your own install media (USB), and install fresh if you wish.

I'm such an impatient kid when it comes to this.

Was preparing to drop around £15 on this, now its free I want it now!

As much as I want I update, I gotta wait to see if it messes with any adobe CS 6 programs. Any beta tester run into any problems?

It just goes to a page that says not available. I'm surprised they didn't have this up and working before the keynote, but keep the link hidden until now. Seems like that would be better.
